(NaturalNews) You may be one of the millions of Americans who are not enamored by our choices for president during this election year, and if that is the case you are probably in the process of deciding who
not to vote for – for any combination of reasons.
As for the
GOP's likely candidate, Donald J. Trump, he's brash, he is often unrefined, he says what is on his mind at any given moment, and he lacks government experience.
Stay up-to-date with the Trump campaign at Trump.newsHis likely
Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton, comes with her own baggage as well, and in fact, to many, her vast government experience is seen as a hindrance, not a benefit. Millions of voters view her as a card-carrying member of the ruling "establishment" – corrupt, compromised and untrustworthy, as the first (likely) presidential candidate who is actively under criminal investigation by the federal government.
But Clinton has another negative against her as well: the fact that she's a
promoter of GMOs, and that one of the corporations that has her in their back pocket is Monsanto.
As reported by
Global Research, a Canada-based think tank, Clinton's views on GMOs are quite at odds with those of the current first lady, Michelle Obama, who reportedly insists that all White House meals be organic.
Hypocritical Hillary
Michelle Obama's book titled 'American Grown: The Story of the White House Kitchen Garden and Gardens Across America,' indicate the first family's commitment to organic (non-GMO) foods in their personal diet.
What they want the rest of America to eat is another story altogether – especially if Hillary is elected president in November 2016.Global Research noted further that at a biotechnology conference in July 2014, Clinton endorsed GMOs, stating, "I stand in favor of using seeds and products that have a proven track record." As if that weren't enough, she went on to attack GMO critics, saying, "There is a big gap between what the facts are, and what the perceptions are."
What's odd about that is the fact that the Clinton family also ate organic food, as did the family of President George W. Bush.
Walter Scheib served as the White House executive chef from 1994–2005. He said that he had "the professional challenge of fulfilling Hillary Clinton's mandate of bringing contemporary American cuisine and
nutritionally responsible food to the White House," according to
Global Research.
What is ironic, of course, is that while first families ate wholesome pesticide/GMO-free foods, they often promoted the GMO frankenfoods that are proven hazardous to human health, thanks to big donor
Monsanto and other biotech giants.
As for Hillary, in 2014, Organic Consumers Union associate director Katherine Paul said, "If [she] intends to run for office in 2016, she should think carefully about supporting a food and farming system that is proven to be detrimental to public health."
Wholly owned by Monsanto
Clinton, of course, didn't give that a second thought. As secretary of state, she pushed other nations to use GMOs. And why not? As
Natural News editor Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, and author of the new book,
Food Forensics, which has risen to the top of Amazon.com's Science non-fiction book list, wrote in May 2015, Clinton is wholly owned by Monsanto, much to the chagrin of many of her supporters:
Democrats who had been programmed to blindly vote for Hillary Clinton are picking their jaws up off the floor after learning the truth about Hillary's ties to Monsanto. The ties run so deep that she's now being dubbed the "Bride of Frankenfood."
Shockingly, Hillary Clinton's ties to Monsanto are new information to her liberal support base. It drives home the important point that nearly everyone supporting Hillary Clinton has no idea who she really is ... .Check out
this infographic, which explains just how much money (as of June 5) she has received from Monsanto.
And
this story by the Daily Kos explains how far back her ties to Monsanto really go.
