If Flint officials are now charged with tampering with evidence and hiding proof of harm, when will CDC officials be prosecuted over mercury in vaccines?

(NaturalNews) Americans jaded by decades of growing government unresponsiveness, were shocked when the Michigan attorney general announced that he would file charges against two state environmental officials and a Flint city official, for negligently continuing to provide lead-tainted water to residents, even after becoming aware that the water was contaminated.

And yet, as reported by The New York Times and other media, that is precisely what happened in recent days. The three are the first to face criminal charges in a scandal where residents unwittingly drank tainted water for nearly 18 months.

In announcing the charges, Attorney General Bill Schuette pledged more action. "These charges are only the beginning," he said. "There will be more to come — that I can guarantee you."

The Times reported further:

The charges against the three defendants — Michael Prysby, a district engineer with the State Department of Environmental Quality; Stephen Busch, a district supervisor in the same department; and Michael Glasgow, the city's utilities manager — included tampering with evidence contained in reports on lead levels in city water, and the two state officials were also charged with conspiracy to tamper with evidence.

Repeated failures of responsibility

In all, they face a total of 13 charges, and Schuette would not say if Gov. Rick Snyder, a Republican, would face charges, only that "no one is off the table."

While many applaud the state for taking the scandal seriously enough to actually hold people accountable, millions of Americans have wondered why states can take such actions, while the federal government almost never holds its officials accountable for their role in these kinds of scandals, and that includes the one in Flint. Officials with the Environmental Protection Agency, for instance, knew about what was happening there, but also did nothing to intervene, claiming, not very believably, that the agency somehow lacked the authority to act.

Instead, the EPA's regional director for the area that included Flint, Susan Hedman, was "allowed to resign," meaning that the government isn't going to indict her. Adding insult to injury, according to The Hill, after failing for more than a year to intervene on behalf of Flint's residents, the EPA had the gall to send Snyder a threatening letter, saying that Flint was in violation of federal clean water rules (no kidding), and that he must work quickly to get the problem fixed.

Mainstream media is responsible too

The federal government's problem of obfuscation and refusal to hold people accountable is not limited to the EPA. It also includes the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which continues to cover up the link between certain vaccines and autism, while attempting to silence any whistleblowers. One of them, Dr. William Thompson, says the agency forced him to lie about the link for nearly a decade (though now, as Natural News editor Mike Adams, the Health Ranger reports, the CDC may be attempting to silence Thompson by essentially buying him off).

Yet no one has been held to account for this scientific fraud, even as scores of children are being harmed every day because of vaccines.

That is likely because there is a pattern of abuse and cover-up within these federal agencies.

The EPA, for instance, has had some epic fails elsewhere, without anyone being held responsible for their actions (or the lack thereof) – both of which led to destruction and damage. In another tainted water scandal, residents of the city of Sebring, Ohio, were outraged to discover recently that their city water, too, contained unsafe amounts of lead, and that the EPA knew about the problem for months, but did nothing to intervene. Two Democratic lawmakers, State Rep. John Boccieri and State Sen. Joe Schiavoni, criticized the EPA for failing to take timely action.

In a letter to the Ohio Speaker of the House, Boccieri wrote, "We have received no answer to our repeated questions about steps taken by the EPA, which shares a moral and legal obligation to notify the public when such a crisis evolves, to remedy this crisis."

Meanwhile, the corporate-owned media is to blame as well. While seizing the opportunity to tar and feather a Republican governor over what has happened in Flint, the same mainstream media hypocrites have remained virtually silent about the levels of mercury present in vaccines, though lead and mercury in our systems carry some of the same health risks.
