LivingFuel, Natural News team up to provide nearly $100,000 in emergency food aid to flood-ravaged citizens of Central Texas - see photos

Texas flood victims

(NaturalNews) The LivingFuel company (www.LivingFuel.com) has generously donated $88,000 worth of ultra-clean, high-protein superfood powders to victims of the recent floods in Central Texas, and the Natural News Store has taken charge of distributing the food aid items to local emergency response organizations on a county-by-county basis.

In addition, the Natural News Store has pledged $10,000 worth of laboratory-validated, long-term storable superfoods to the Hays county food bank (www.HaysFoodBank.org) which is in the process of organizing the details of that donation. (We expect to deliver those items to Hays County next week.)

A tractor trailer carrying six pallets of LivingFuel SuperProtein, SuperBerry and SuperGreens powders arrived at our Central Texas food distribution warehouse Saturday morning (see photos below). We had pre-arranged for the Bastrop County Long Term Recovery Team (www.bastropcountylongtermrecovery.org) to pick up the first wave of LivingFuel canisters to distribute to flood victims across the county. Janis from BCLTRT arrived and we helped her load up with enough supplies for 50+ families, and she began making the rounds, distributing LivingFuel with Blender Bottles to families across Bastrop.

Natural News has been reaching out to Sheriffs offices and other emergency response teams across Central Texas, but we're having a challenge reaching anyone in Travis County (they're extremely busy due to the post-catastrophe activity). If anyone in Travis County sees this and can get us connected, we have this emergency food aid available right now and staged in our warehouse on Hwy 71, ready for pickup by recognized emergency response agencies.

This photo shows the six pallets of LivingFuel Superfood, plus hundreds of Blender Bottles which are used to mix LivingFuel Superfood with water:

The donation from LivingFuel consists of:

1,250 canisters of Living Protein
500 canisters of LivingFuel SuperBerry and SuperGreens

LivingProtein is a plant-based superfood protein powder that I've personally validated to be very low in heavy metals in the Natural News Forensic Food Lab. It comes in a canister that's ideal for long-term storage (the canister is made from PET, which prevents oxidation of the protein contents). Many people in the preparedness movement, in fact, are buying LivingProtein as a high quality storable source of protein for emergency use.

Displaced families were living on junk food

Many of the displaced families whose homes were destroyed by the floods have been living on processed junk food. Unfortunately, quality protein is often not readily available through relief organizations, many of which focus on heavily preserved foods such as canned soups (which are often made with GMOs, MSG and chemical preservatives).

As a strong advocate of clean foods and high-quality plant-based diets, I was shocked to learn what local families were living on in the days following the flooding disaster. Receiving LivingFuel's extremely generous donation was a breath of fresh air, and I immediately approved the company hours and resources needed to help identify local emergency relief organizations and get them this high-quality superfood to help families.

In times of extreme stress, quality superfoods are more important than ever. Good nutrition promotes a vastly improved response to stress. It also aids healthy sleep, recovery from physical injury, mood stabilization and an ability to maintain cognitive focus. These are precisely the kind of things that are strongly called upon during extreme circumstances, and that's why these efforts by LivingFuel and Natural News can be so helpful to such a large number of people.

This photo shows some of the pallet stacking via forklift, as we were shuffling items around for staging them to be picked up by emergency relief teams:

Here's a close up showing more detail. We apologize for the lack of any presentation here. We were aiming for efficiency, not presentation, so I slashed the plastic wrap with my Emerson knife and started opening cases to determine what we had received. As you read this, there are families in Bastrop County, Texas who are enjoying this LivingFuel Superberry Original superfood thanks to KC Craichy at www.LivingFuel.com

Natural News becomes a local relief organization for Central Texas

It is our goal to see the complete distribution of all these donated items to families in need. We simultaneously hope to build stronger ties with local relief organizations who recognize the Natural News Store as a key staging location for the distribution of emergency food aid. No doubt there will be a future crisis in which we can also play an important role in helping families get back on their feet.

The Natural News Store also has the capability to package and distribute bulk donated food items, as we are a certified organic food manufacturer that's licensed and inspected by both the state and the county. If there are suppliers of bulk rice, corn, wheat, spelt, oats or other storable grains that wish to donate those to us, we can donate the time and resources to package and distribute those items to families in need. This can make a huge, lasting difference across local food banks that meet the nutritional needs of those who are economically displaced by natural disasters or other causes.

In previous years, we also made large donations to victims of tornadoes in the Midwest, as well as to victims of earthquakes around the world. In 2011, we took an active role in rescuing animals (our two donkeys) from the Central Texas fires, and we donated cash funds to local fire departments.

I'm also the inventor of the world's first dietary supplement that's scientifically validated to bind with and capture radioactive isotopes of Cesium during digestion. This technology is described at www.CesiumEliminator.com and I have long planned to donate these supplements to as many people as possible when the next nuclear catastrophe occurs. These supplements can also play an extremely important role in the aftermath of nuclear war.

In a similar theme, I've also conducted extensive laboratory validations of water filtration products in order to determine which off-the-shelf water filters can remove radioactive isotopes of Cesium, Strontium and Uranium. The answers are published at www.WaterFilterLabs.com

Keep Texas free, and we'll keep helping those in need

Importantly, our ability to donate the time, money and effort to achieve all these donations comes from the fact that Texas is a relatively low-tax state lead by people like Gov. Gregg Abbott who believe in freedom and liberty. Without the freedom to operate an honest business and earn an honest profit, we would not have the resources to make repeated, substantial donations to those in need.

In other words, we are able to create jobs, contribute to the local economy and help those in need precisely because we are located in a state that keeps its regulatory and tax burdens to a minimum. If we were located in California, we would likely be too financially broke to help anyone. That's part of why California is experiencing such an economic implosion these days... at the same time Texas is rapidly expanding its economy and abundance.

On top of all that, we refuse to grow a business in any state which does not recognize the Second Amendment. Only states that embrace the United States Constitution and respect the individual right to own and bear arms will receive the benefit of our rapidly-expanding business operations and community donation efforts.

I hope this message gets to Texas state legislators: Keep Texas free, and we'll keep helping Texans. We are just one of many courageous, ethical, compassionate small businesses who do our part to create a better society. But we can't do that if we're put in a financial stranglehold with high taxes and invasive regulations. Let us grow our business and we'll help create healthier, more resilient communities founded on the idea of people helping people to overcome anything.

About the author:Mike Adams (aka the "Health Ranger") is a best selling author (#1 best selling science book on Amazon.com) and a globally recognized scientific researcher in clean foods. He serves as the founding editor of NaturalNews.com and the lab science director of an internationally accredited (ISO 17025) analytical laboratory known as CWC Labs. There, he was awarded a Certificate of Excellence for achieving extremely high accuracy in the analysis of toxic elements in unknown water samples using ICP-MS instrumentation. Adams is also highly proficient in running liquid chromatography, ion chromatography and mass spectrometry time-of-flight analytical instrumentation.

Adams is a person of color whose ancestors include Africans and Native American Indians. He's also of Native American heritage, which he credits as inspiring his "Health Ranger" passion for protecting life and nature against the destruction caused by chemicals, heavy metals and other forms of pollution.

Adams is the founder and publisher of the open source science journal Natural Science Journal, the author of numerous peer-reviewed science papers published by the journal, and the author of the world's first book that published ICP-MS heavy metals analysis results for foods, dietary supplements, pet food, spices and fast food. The book is entitled Food Forensics and is published by BenBella Books.

In his laboratory research, Adams has made numerous food safety breakthroughs such as revealing rice protein products imported from Asia to be contaminated with toxic heavy metals like lead, cadmium and tungsten. Adams was the first food science researcher to document high levels of tungsten in superfoods. He also discovered over 11 ppm lead in imported mangosteen powder, and led an industry-wide voluntary agreement to limit heavy metals in rice protein products.

In addition to his lab work, Adams is also the (non-paid) executive director of the non-profit Consumer Wellness Center (CWC), an organization that redirects 100% of its donations receipts to grant programs that teach children and women how to grow their own food or vastly improve their nutrition. Through the non-profit CWC, Adams also launched Nutrition Rescue, a program that donates essential vitamins to people in need. Click here to see some of the CWC success stories.

With a background in science and software technology, Adams is the original founder of the email newsletter technology company known as Arial Software.
