Here's a closer picture of the wheels and brushes on the Roomba 530. See the two yellow levers on the side of the orange plastic cage holding the brushes? If you press those two yellow levers, the entire plastic cage lifts up, giving you easy access to the brushes. This makes the brushes incredibly easy to clean.

As a bonus, Roomba even detects when the brushes aren't working right (like when the robot sucks up your favorite shoelaces or computer cables) and announces that you need to clean the wheels. This new feature makes Roomba so easy to clean that it's far more pleasant to deal with. I remember trying to clean earlier model Roombas and getting frustrated with the difficulty of that process, but the new Roomba 500 series makes it incredibly easy.
