Pomegranate and Blueberry Juice Consumer Shopping Guide
A NaturalNews PhotoTour by Mike Adams

The back of the Naked Juice product reveals some interesting information. The first thing to notice is the ingredients list (on the right) where we find that this product contains not merely pomegranate and acai but also:
... apple juice, red grape juice from concentrate, white grape juice from concentrate, banana puree, natural flavors...
What's the purpose of these ingredients? They are sweeteners and fillers. The Banana puree is also a thickener that adds texture to the drink. Still, the primary ingredients are, indeed, pomegranate and an acai juice blend, so at least this product is made predominantly with the ingredients claimed on the front.
The side label (the picture on the left) offers some interesting information: It reveals how much fruit is inside the bottle! It claims:
• 2 pomegranates • 106 acai berries (they're really small berries) • 1 apple • 1/5 banana • "Red and white grapes for good measure"
I had to chuckle at the "for good measure" comment on this label. The red and white grapes aren't added for good measure; they're added for good taste! (They're also good for profits, since grape juice is a whole lot cheaper than acai juice.) Grape juice is an industry sweetener that's a lot healthier than, say, high-fructose corn syrup, but it's still not a superfruit juice like pomegranate or acai.
In any case, this Naked Juice product earns 4 out of 5 stars for being made of 100% juice and for honestly listing what's inside the bottle. It even puts the pomegranate and acai berries as the primary ingredients, so if you're looking for a decent superfruit juice product, I wouldn't have anything against buying this Naked Juice product. It's not my super favorite product, but it's far better than most, and frankly the banana puree provides a lof of extra potassium that your body probably needs.
The pomegranate and acai berries are incredibly healthful, and I recommend that everyone get a daily serving of these superfruits just for their anti-cancer and cardio-protective effects.
