A study funded by the makers of the dead vegetable juice product V8 has discovered -- surprise! -- that people who drink their vegetable juice can easily reach the minimum five servings a day recommended by the U.S. government. Drinking the vegetable juice is even easier than eating the same number of vegetables, since there's little fiber in the juice. Of course, drinking dead juices like V8 is hardly the best way to get good nutrition, since pasteurization destroys virtually all the nutritional phytochemicals in vegetable juice.
