Blood Pressure Regulated by Cellular Creation of "Fart Gas"

The same gas that gives farts an offensive odor -- hydrogen sulphide -- is used by the body to relax blood vessels in an effort to regulate blood pressure. It's as if the body is producing micro farts in the blood in order to paralyze the blood vessels into relaxing. This has been researched at John Hopkins University in Maryland. Does it mean that farting on someone will help regulate their blood pressure? Nope, but it might get them off the couch and walking around a bit, which is good for blood circulation.
From News.bbc.co.: Small amounts of hydrogen sulphide - a toxic gas generated by bacteria living in the human gut - are responsible for the foul odour of flatulence. But it seems the gas is also produced by an enzyme in blood vessels where it relaxes them and lowers blood pressure.... more
