(NaturalNews) So much for spontaneity.
Oh, and freedom. And justice.
A man in England has been ordered by a court to inform police 24 hours before he has sex with a woman, but no one really knows why or what the ruling is tied to, the UK's
Evening Standard recently reported.
The man, who apparently for legal reasons was not identified in press reports, must also inform officers in North Yorkshire of the name of any woman with whom he plans to have sex – and again, 24 hours ahead of time.
What's more, if he wants to have sex outside of the North Yorkshire Police Department's jurisdiction, he is then required to contact and inform the local, relevant police agency. In addition, the man, who is from York, also
has to let cops know about every device he has or has access to that is connected to the Internet, or can otherwise be used to make contact with other people.
The order was imposed on him "by way of an interim sexual risk order" which was "requested by North Yorkshire Police," the
Evening Standard reported.
Interestingly, the man is subject to the "tell us a day before you have sex" order, even though he has not been convicted of any sexual crime, the paper continued, though in England, apparently, police can get a preemptive order like this when they feel the public is at risk.
The current order will remain in effect until May 19, when a court will reassess whether or not it should be extended. Violating the order could result in a prison term of up to five years.
In the meantime, the man – whoever he is – just became the most inconvenienced, unluckiest soul in Great Britain.
