(NaturalNews) In recent days, a 25-year-old white female drove her automobile into crowds of people who were gathered in Stillwell, Oklahoma, to watch the annual Oklahoma State University homecoming parade. When the ensuing chaos subsided, it was learned that Adacia Avery Chambers, the driver, killed four people and injured 44 others, many of them critically.
Those who were touched by the incident and witnessed it will forever be scarred. Many will have visions in their minds they will be dealing with for years. Some will never totally recover.
Days later, various media outlets
reported that Chambers told someone on the scene immediately after the crash that she was trying to kill herself. Regardless of the motivation behind the incident, Chambers will be punished severely. She is
facing life in prison on multiple counts of murder.
Most Americans would agree that if she is found to be guilty in court, she
ought to be punished for what she has done. However, most Americans would also agree that there should be punishment for killing someone with a motor vehicle in what would otherwise have been a preventable accident, regardless of political ideology, right?
So how is it that
liberals have no problem with a white American girl from Oklahoma being sentenced to a life behind bars for allegedly intentionally killing four people, but they don't wish to see a brown Latino
illegal alien punished for killing a U.S. citizen while driving drunk on an American highway?
What if Chambers had been an illegal alien?
How can we make that claim? It's easy. Liberals are the ones who support amnesty, sanctuary cities and President Obama's delayed deportation policy, all of which mean that more illegal aliens are free to commit crimes like murder
with a gun or, as in a recent case in Texas,
with a motor vehicle.
As reported by
Breitbart Texas, a criminal alien from Mexico, who had previously been convicted of killing someone in a drunk driving incident, was initially sent to prison and then subsequently deported. Now, he is back in
Texas and facing brand-new federal charges.
In recent days, 66-year-old Luis Escobar Valle was arrested moments after crossing the Rio Grande River near the border city of Hidalgo, Texas, according to court records reviewed by the news site.
Breitbart Texas further reported:
Once in custody, Escobar told agents that he had just entered the country illegally. The agents carried out a records check to see if he had been deported in the past.
Authorities learned that federal agents deported Escobar on October 20. Yet, four days later he walked back into Texas. His deportation came after he served six years in prison on a 10-year sentence that he received in 1999.Insane double standard
A court convicted Escobar on September 21, 1999, of intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle; it should have been
murder, given the perpetrator's conscious decision to drink and then drive. Court records do not reveal why he was set free before serving a full sentence,
Breitbart Texas noted.
In late October, Escobar appeared in federal court, where U.S. District Judge Peter Ormsby ordered him held without bond on a charge of felony illegal reentry into the U.S. after determining that he likely would not show back up in court if released on bond.
There's no way to tell whether Escobar will actually serve any time for his new crime, but what's clear is that he also won't be serving any more time for the crime of killing another human being with an automobile while he was inside the U.S. illegally.
Liberal tolerance for lax enforcement of immigration laws – tolerance that is reflected in this administration's immigration policies – is a major reason that so many people come to the U.S. illegally. While here, as GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump has stated and
the U.S. government's own research proves, many illegal immigrants commit unspeakable crimes against American citizens. That's just true and denying it won't change the facts.
Under Obama, it appears we have now adopted a double law enforcement standard when it comes to
illegal aliens. As long as it remains in place, American citizens will suffer consequences that are disproportionate to those given to people who break our laws to enter our country.
Who knows? If Adacia Chambers had been an illegal alien, maybe she wouldn't serve much time in prison. After all, corporate America would need her cheaper labor and the Democratic Party would need her eventual vote.
