(NaturalNews) It's already being called one of the biggest cover-ups in the history of British officialdom.
As reported by the UK's
Telegraph, a database containing the accounts of victims of alleged child sex abuse who submitted their testimony through a government website has crashed due to what's been described as a technical blunder that erased
everything.
The paper said that, following a change in the web address of the Independent Inquiry Into Child Sex Abuse (IICSA), admissions submitted via an online form between September 14 and October 2 were "instantly and permanently deleted" before ever reaching staff.
The IICSA, a panel in charge of investigating claims of pedophile rings that were operated in Westminster during the 1980s, issued an apology for "any inconvenience or distress" caused by the erasure, reassuring all who had relayed their experiences that the information they provided was not at any risk of disclosure.
The
Telegraph further reported:
"Those whose submissions have been lost have been asked to resend their information. The inquiry into historic sex abuse was set up last July but has suffered a number of delays after two previous chairwomen resigned.
It is now being led by New Zealand judge Lowell Goddard."
Hacked? Purposedly?
IICSA said in a statement posted to its
website:
"Due to a change in our website address to
http://www.iicsa.org.uk on 14 September, any information submitted to the Inquiry between 14 September and 2 October through the online form on the 'Share your experience' page of our website, was instantly and permanently deleted before it reached our engagement team.
"We are very sorry for any inconvenience or distress this will cause and would like to reassure you that no information was put at risk of disclosure or unauthorized access.
"Due to the security measures on our website, your information cannot be found or viewed by anyone else as it was immediately and permanently destroyed.
"We would like to apologise again to anyone who submitted details to the Inquiry during this time and to ask you to please resubmit your information through the online form."
Was it a cyber attack? A deliberate cover-up? Or simply a computer error?
This "60 Minutes" investigation, which looks into the history of pedophile rings in the United Kingdom, described it as "the biggest political scandal Britain has ever faced."
In January 2013,
Natural News reported that longtime BBC DJ and personality, Jimmy Savile, abused scores of children over six decades, with one top police officer observing that he must have "spent every minute of every day" thinking about his next victim.
Top official knew about pedophile network in Westminster
Savile, who died in October 2011 at age 84, "groomed the nation," said the officer in charge of the investigation. He further added that the DJ was "without doubt one of the most prolific sex offenders we have ever come across."
Commander Peter Spindler, the top police official conducting the investigation, told Britain's
Daily Mail that the sexual predator carried out a 54-year-long campaign of abuse all across the country, and that he picked "the most vulnerable who were least likely to speak out against him."
In September,
we also reported on a disgusting and ironic twist of fate — that the British government had begun watching three-year-olds for signs of "extremism," all the while protecting government creeps and sickos who abused kids in the past.
Citing
The Daily Beast, we noted:
"A newspaper editor was handed startling evidence that Britain's top law enforcement official knew there was a VIP pedophile network in Westminster, at the heart of the British government. What happened next in the summer of 1984 helps to explain how shocking allegations of rape and murder against some of the country's most powerful men went unchecked for decades."
