(NaturalNews) Walk down the center aisles of any major grocery store and you'll see that most items contain multiple carcinogens approved by the FDA. They're typically labeled as an additive, preservative, or some other protective-sounding word or phrase, but it's all the same.
For example, peaches in pesticide-laden high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) are sealed in a can with toxic aluminum and bisphenol-A (BPA), which can leach into foods and cause everything from tumors to learning disabilities.
Boxes of cereal containing inflammatory soy and corn byproducts temp children.
From taco shells to corn chips, grocery store aisles are nothing more than digestive and immunity-killing food zones.
You're also likely grabbing sodium benzoate, a cell-choking nightmare primarily designed to prevent food from molding. It acts as a preservative and is commonly found in olives, fruit juices, pickles and soft drinks. It becomes a known carcinogenic additive when combined with vitamins C and E, ultimately depriving cells of the oxygen they need to function properly and fight cancer.
Sodium benzoate is synthetic!
Sodium benzoate not only deprives cells of oxygen but weakens the immune system too. Don't get tricked on this one: Sodium benzoate is NOT the same as benzoic acid.
Sodium benzoate has found its way into thousands of products, even foods that are labeled as "all
natural." But don't be fooled. While benzoic acid is found naturally in low levels in many fruits, the
sodium benzoate that's found on a product's label is actually synthesized in a lab.
Derived from a reaction of benzoic acid with sodium hydroxide, this known carcinogenic additive
gets transported to the liver, where it is supposed to be filtered and released in urine. But the damage occurs before that process is complete;
sodium benzoate chokes out your body's nutrients at the cellular level by depriving mitochondria of oxygen. At times, cells are shut down entirely, destroying their ability to fight off infections and even help prevent cancer.
"Chemicalized" food is bad for the body
When it comes to milk, how hot is milk pasteurized, even if for just a short time? Does that kill the nutritional value?
You may not know the answers to these questions, but they are ones worth knowing for your health's sake.
The bottom line is that processed milk is bad for bones, despite what we've been told. During the high-heating process milk undergoes, nutrients are indeed lost, which explains why Big Food often says that some milk contains added vitamin D -- they had to add it back in! But that doesn't work, by the way, because by then, the milk is so far altered that it becomes detrimental to the body.
Also, be leery of meat.
Most conventional meat contains hormones, antibiotics and bacteria from the animals that consume genetically modified feed, have digestive disorders and live in concentrated animal feeding operations (CAFOs).
How to choose healthy foods while food shopping
The next time you go shopping, get out of the corporate aisles and head for the perimeter -- the outskirts of the store. This is where you'll find fresh organic fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds.
Shopping here is your ticket out of the insanity.
Furthermore, pay close attention. Read all the labels. Read the ingredients one by one. If you can't pronounce them, chances are you shouldn't be consuming them or even putting them on your skin.
Finally, get to your local farmers markets often and ask questions about pesticides and the food you're about to eat.
