Health Ranger to release open source 3D printer files for upcoming invention with early 2015 release date

(NaturalNews) We've got great news to share with you today: I have confirmed that I'll be able to publicly release open-source 3D printer files for some of the key parts for the upcoming invention I'm announcing in early 2015.

The invention is loosely described in this article and is a physical device that can give "people everywhere the ability to be more self-sustaining and self-reliant in four key areas: food, water, nutrition and medicine."

What's so extraordinary about this invention is that it requires no electricity and no complex moving parts (no pumps, no circuit boards, no gears, etc.). That means it's 100% EMP-proof, power grid failure proof and even radiation proof. This is an invention that can help keep you alive even after a nuclear war or power grid collapse. That's why I'm pushing so hard to get this released as soon as possible.

As I've been learning 3D modeling and CAD / CAM software recently, I've come to realize that several of the parts for this invented can be 3D printed, and that means we can publicly release them for everyone to download and print on their own. Only a few of the parts can be 3D printed, however. Some parts for this invention are too large for 3D printing and are far easier to produce via vacuum forming or mold injection techniques. But I will be posting the CAD files for those parts which can be printed, and we'll add more object files to the collection over time.

Manufacturing for this invention is being set up in central Texas, and I've had to work hard to overcome all sorts of technical obstacles and learn new skills to make this a reality. For example, I've had to learn 3D modeling CAD / CAM software to model the object prototypes for printing. I've also had to learn to become proficient in both additive manufacturing (3D printing) and subtractive manufacturing (CNC routing).

The CNC router we've chosen for this project, by the way, has a 3 HP router capable of producing complex 3D shapes from blocks of plastic, wood or aluminum. CNC routers are the opposite of 3D printers: they remove material from blocks of wood or plastic, leaving behind the precise shape that you want.

DIY video instructions to be released with the invention

I'm a huge proponent of the open-source movement and the principle of decentralization of power. Most of the evil taking place in our world today is a result of corporate monopolies (think Big Pharma or Monsanto) or government concentration of too much power in the hands of too few people. (Even the Pope recently said that greed would destroy humanity.) That's why projects like Defense Distributed -- also based on 3D printing -- are so important for the survival of democracy in a world full of corrupt, criminal politicians and fascist governments.

Because I hold true to the philosophy of the democratization of knowledge and manufacturing, in addition to publicly releasing the 3D printable object files for certain parts in this invention, I'm also committed to shooting video of how you can make all this stuff yourself, DIY-style from commonly available parts at your local hardware store.

If you wish, then, you can build these units yourself using makeshift parts and common power tools. In fact, that's how I started designing and building these units myself. They're ugly as crap but they work. Naturally, you can purchase our pre-made units to save yourself time and hassle, but in an economic collapse that option may not be available, and that's part of the reason why I want to get these video instructions on the record for the whole world to follow.

I will be asking for volunteers to subtitle these instructions videos in various world languages, so if you have the capability to help us subtitle this video in Spanish, French, German, Chinese, and so on, please consider volunteering that effort once we get closer to launch day. Your effort may literally help impact millions of lives in a positive way!

Depending on how well the manufacturing setup goes, I realistically hope to be able to announce all this in late January or early February at this point. The 3D printable files will be made publicly available at the time of the announcement. Finished units made in Texas will hopefully be available for purchase in February in limited quantities, with larger quantities available throughout the spring and summer of 2015.
