(NaturalNews) Tremendous success this past spring of the Internet-streamed docu-series
The Quest for the Cure has led organizers of that event to create and host a brand-new docu-series that will feature more experts discussing a range of
natural cures for cancer.
The pre-launch of the new series begins September 29 and runs through October 12. The actual docu-series will stream on the Internet from Oct. 13 through Oct. 24.
One of the featured experts will be Dr. Daniel Nuzum, NMD, a naturopathic physician, mechanotherapist, naprapath, medical massage practitioner,
tui na practitioner and Native American healing practitioner.
A great many of those titles are foreign to many people, so here is an explanation of some of them, per Dr. Nuzum's
website:
-- A naturopathic physician is one who "utilizes all natural modalities to promote healing." Dr. Nuzum "uses Herbal Medicines, Homeopathic Medicines, Aromatherapy, Nutritional therapy, Diet modification, Detoxification therapy, Mechanotherapy and medical massage, Hypnotherapy and Hydrotherapy to affect Emotional, Structural, and Chemical Balance" -- the three pillars of natural medicine.

-- A naprapath is one who "focuses on connective tissue and ligamentous disorders," says Dr. Nuzum's site. Naprapaths use "Nutrition, Massage, Mobilization of joints and exercise to promote healing and 'structural balance.'"
--
Tui na practitioners use ancient Chinese massage and manipulation techniques that include cupping, scraping, tapping, etc., to achieve structural balance and activate healing forces.
-- Native American healing practitioners are trained "in the way of the Native American Shaman," says his site. "This incorporates healing from the Holy Spirit via Prayer, Massage/Manipulation, and Herbal Medicine." Also, there is a belief among these practitioners that "all healing must occur spiritually, mentally and physically in order to be true healing."
Dr. Nuzum's educational background includes:
-- The North American College of Naprapathic Medicine, from 1994 to 1998;
-- The Southern College of Naturopathic Medicine, 1998-2000;
-- The Central States College of Health Sciences, 2000-2004;
-- Dr. Nuzum apprenticed at Central States College of Health Sciences in
Tui na and Medical Acupuncture, 2005-2006;
-- He was a professor of Manual/Mechanotherapy, Botanical Medicine and Oriental Therapeutics at the Central States College of Health Sciences, 2000-2007.
"My goal is to help people create balance in their health and overall lives," he says.
Dr. Nuzum and his wife, Gina -- a certified massage therapist -- are owners of Nuzum's Naturals, a line of supplements. They practice in Nampa, Idaho.
