(NaturalNews) The same whistleblower who recently went public about his involvement in producing a fraudulent study on vaccine safety now says that he would never even inject his own wife with the shots that he once promoted.
During a conversation with Dr. Brian Hooker from the Focus Autism Foundation, Dr. William Thompson admitted that the prospect of injecting pregnant women with the mercury derivative thimerosal is preposterous, as this highly toxic compound is directly associated with causing autism.
Contrary to popular belief, annual flu shots produced in multi-dose vials still contain thimerosal. And the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the agency for which Dr. Thompson works, still promotes them for pregnant women, despite their known dangers.
Flu shots cause 'tics,' says Dr. Thompson
According to Dr. Thompson, the mercury contained in some vaccines has been shown to cause "tics" in children. Based on this knowledge, these vaccines are a "clear and present danger" for unborn children whose mothers get their flu shots in accordance with CDC guidelines.
On its website, the CDC describes
tics as sudden twitches, movements, or sounds that people make repeatedly and involuntarily. Individuals with tics typically can't decide
not to have them, meaning they are reflexive and spontaneous.
"I can say confidently that I do think thimerosal causes tics," admitted Dr. Thompson in a video by
Truthstream Media. "I don't know why they still give it to pregnant women. That's the last person that I would give
mercury to."
"Do you think a pregnant mother would want to take a vaccine that [she] knew caused tics? Absolutely not! I would never give my wife a vaccine that I thought caused tics."
Tics are extremely common in children with autism
How this all relates to autism has two components: tics are a common feature in children with autism, and they occur at a rate of up to four times higher in autistic children compared than they do in normal children. These two factors suggest that vaccines are a trigger of a major set of symptoms commonly attributed to
autism.
"I can say, tics are four times more prevalent in kids with autism," added Dr. Thompson. "There is biologic plausibility right now to say that thimerosal causes autism-like features."
Dr. Thompson should know. He co-led research published in
The New England Journal of Medicine that declared thimerosal to be safe, and even beneficial, for young children -- research that he now says is completely fraudulent.
Study claiming thimerosal to be safe authored by drug industry hacks
This is because, back then, Dr. Thompson was on the drug industry's dole, as were essentially all of his fellow co-authors. At the bottom of his study, entitled "Early Thimerosal Exposure and Neuropsychological Outcomes and 7 to 10 Years," it is revealed that nearly every major drug and
vaccine company was behind its outrageous findings.
"Dr. Thompson reports being a former employee of Merck; Dr. Marcy, receiving consulting fees from Merck, Sanofi Pasteur, GlaxoSmithKline, and MedImmune; Dr. Jackson, receiving grant support from Wyeth, Sanofi Pasteur, GlaxoSmithKline, and Novartis, lecture fees from Sanofi Pasteur, and consulting fees from Wyeth and Abbott and serving as a consultant to the FDA Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee..." and on and on it goes.
Melissa Melton from
Truthstream Media highlighted all this in a recent report, which is accessible here:
