Blood Moon eclipses have many concerned about End Times prophecy; is there any truth to it?

Blood moon eclipses

(NaturalNews) Texas televangelist pastor John Hagee of the Cornerstone Church in San Antonio is warning about the four "blood moon" eclipses that begin today. Three additional blood moon eclipses will be visible in the coming months from North America -- a rare astronomical alignment that has many astronomers extremely excited.

To some, however, the blood moons are a sign of the "End Times" -- or possibly a sign of a transition from one era of human civilization to another. "What is the prophetic significance (of the four blood moons)? Is this the end of the age?" asks John Hagee.

To support the question, he refers people to Acts 2:19-20 where it is stated:

And I will show wonders in Heaven above and signs in the Earth beneath, the sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.

To some, this means the return of Jesus is imminent, and that humankind shall be judged on its actions. (If true, humankind will likely earn an "F" on everything from ethics to spirituality, by the way... and don't expect any extra credit for killing the whales, either.) To most scientists and astronomers, however, the blood moons are merely an interesting confluence of celestial orbits that occur due to Newtonian physics.

"If God wanted to send a message to all of humanity, there are far easier methods than rearranging the orbits of high-mass celestial objects," a University of Texas graduate student told Natural News. "Technically, if God were all-powerful, he could whisper messages into the minds of all humans and animals alike."

Crazy times are upon us nonetheless

My own personal theory is that regardless of the bloom moon eclipses, things are getting more bizarre here on Earth, regardless of the orbits of celestial bodies. We just witnessed the start of the Second American Revolution at the Bundy Ranch in Nevada, for example, where hundreds of armed American citizens forced a surrender of armed federal agents. It is now widely believed that the retreat of the BLM was staged and that federal agents are planning an armed raid on the Bundy family sometime in the near future.

Earthquakes and tsunamis seem to be appearing in record numbers recently, and in many ways humanity seems to be on the verge of destroying itself with things like nuclear power (Fukushima disaster) and the threat of nuclear war (between Russia and the United States, possibly starting with conflict in Ukraine).

But there's also something afoot with the People. Across the planet, groups of citizens are rising up against oppression and tyranny. There is a kind of "rising consciousness of revolution" being reflected in Kiev, with Chinese dissidents and with Americans, too. Popular revolts are becoming more common, and revolution is in the air, so to speak.

Modern civilization is unsustainable

Blood Moons or not, human civilization is in the midst of extraordinary change. Many things upon which modern civilization depends are simply not sustainable and must therefore come to an end. Some of the problems and potential catastrophes include:

- Use of fossil water aquifers
- Rapid using up of fossil fuels
- Global loss of agricultural top soils
- Dependence on unsafe nuclear energy
- Mass poisoning of the population with heavy metals and toxic chemicals
- Increasing food shortages and food price inflation
- Systemic global monetary collapse and debt catastrophe
- The systemic weaknesses of complex societies
- The mass pollution of the world's rivers and oceans
- Risk of genetic pollution and crop failures due to GMOs and monoculture
- To some, there is belief that rising CO2 levels will cause runaway global warming and destroy human civilization

Any one of these could spell the end of modern civilization as we know it. Most of these issues, if fully expressed to the point of failure, would result in a very large reduction of Earth's current population. Many scenarios would likely result in social chaos which could easily be characterized as an "end times" scenario or possibly "apocalyptic events."

In my view, these are all things we have done to ourselves. Humanity seems determined to destroy itself at all levels: economically, physically and spiritually. And I don't need lunar eclipses to see the warning signs, either: they're obvious every time I read the news or hear Comrade Jay Carney speak on behalf of the White House.

To anyone who is already so blind that they cannot see the destruction of humanity happening all around us, I very much doubt a series of blood moon eclipses are going to suddenly awaken them to reality.

About the author:Mike Adams (aka the "Health Ranger") is a best selling author (#1 best selling science book on Amazon.com) and a globally recognized scientific researcher in clean foods. He serves as the founding editor of NaturalNews.com and the lab science director of an internationally accredited (ISO 17025) analytical laboratory known as CWC Labs. There, he was awarded a Certificate of Excellence for achieving extremely high accuracy in the analysis of toxic elements in unknown water samples using ICP-MS instrumentation. Adams is also highly proficient in running liquid chromatography, ion chromatography and mass spectrometry time-of-flight analytical instrumentation.

Adams is a person of color whose ancestors include Africans and Native American Indians. He's also of Native American heritage, which he credits as inspiring his "Health Ranger" passion for protecting life and nature against the destruction caused by chemicals, heavy metals and other forms of pollution.

Adams is the founder and publisher of the open source science journal Natural Science Journal, the author of numerous peer-reviewed science papers published by the journal, and the author of the world's first book that published ICP-MS heavy metals analysis results for foods, dietary supplements, pet food, spices and fast food. The book is entitled Food Forensics and is published by BenBella Books.

In his laboratory research, Adams has made numerous food safety breakthroughs such as revealing rice protein products imported from Asia to be contaminated with toxic heavy metals like lead, cadmium and tungsten. Adams was the first food science researcher to document high levels of tungsten in superfoods. He also discovered over 11 ppm lead in imported mangosteen powder, and led an industry-wide voluntary agreement to limit heavy metals in rice protein products.

In addition to his lab work, Adams is also the (non-paid) executive director of the non-profit Consumer Wellness Center (CWC), an organization that redirects 100% of its donations receipts to grant programs that teach children and women how to grow their own food or vastly improve their nutrition. Through the non-profit CWC, Adams also launched Nutrition Rescue, a program that donates essential vitamins to people in need. Click here to see some of the CWC success stories.

With a background in science and software technology, Adams is the original founder of the email newsletter technology company known as Arial Software. Using his technical experience combined with his love for natural health, Adams developed and deployed the content management system currently driving NaturalNews.com. He also engineered the high-level statistical algorithms that power SCIENCE.naturalnews.com, a massive research resource featuring over 10 million scientific studies.

Adams is well known for his incredibly popular consumer activism video blowing the lid on fake blueberries used throughout the food supply. He has also exposed "strange fibers" found in Chicken McNuggets, fake academic credentials of so-called health "gurus," dangerous "detox" products imported as battery acid and sold for oral consumption, fake acai berry scams, the California raw milk raids, the vaccine research fraud revealed by industry whistleblowers and many other topics.

Adams has also helped defend the rights of home gardeners and protect the medical freedom rights of parents. Adams is widely recognized to have made a remarkable global impact on issues like GMOs, vaccines, nutrition therapies, human consciousness.

In addition to his activism, Adams is an accomplished musician who has released over a dozen popular songs covering a variety of activism topics.
