What ever happened to DMSO for cancer and what is it anyway?

(NaturalNews) The initial excitement during the 1960s and '70s for a wide variety of uses with natural, inexpensive DMSO was eventually suppressed by the Medical Mafia and followed by obligatory disinformation campaigns.

An Oklahoma natural cancer treatment center, Camelot Cancer Care, used DMSO and had amazingly managed to survive for a while in the USA but was shut down recently by the FDA and FBI.

A major aspect of Camelot's orthomolecular (mega-dose vitamin) treatment incorporated DMSO, which has been proven to carry compounds deeply and rapidly into tissues while also having its own properties that promote cancer cell apoptosis (cell death).

Most normal cells are programmed for apoptosis as part of their cycle for allowing new cells to generate. Cancer cells don't have this property. So they claim immortality by never committing suicide and remaining to form tumors.

The unofficial explanation for the Camelot raid and shutdown was that the clinic was using vitamin B17, or laetrile, an FDA-banned substance for treating cancer. Laetrile was banned even after it was proven safe and efficacious against cancer. Because as a natural substance, it wasn't patentable for huge profits.

But obviously, the Camelot center's extensive use of DMSO was another factor that invited the FDA and FBI to shut them down.

DMSO is produced by oxygenating dimethyl sulfide, a by-product of wood pulp processing. It was discovered by Russian scientist Alexander Zaytsev in 1866 and considered useful as a solvent.

Medical interest surfaced in the early 1960s at the Oregon Health and Science University Medical School, where Dr. Stanley Jacob discovered that DMSO could penetrate skin and organ membranes without damaging them.

Dr. Jacob researched DMSO further and found several topical analgesic applications for animals and humans. He went further with injecting or ingesting DMSO for a bladder malady, interstitial cystitis (IC). By 1978, the FDA allowed DMSO to be used for IC.

On a Crohn's disease forum page, there is much discussion and testimony on using it to relieve Crohn "flares" of unbearable discomfort by simply applying DMSO topically onto the lower abdomen area. The 60 Minute videos in the sources below will show how to apply DMSO topically.

But the big deal with DMSO involves treating cancer. R. Webster Kehr of the Cancer Tutor and others report on a series of experiments on cancerous animals that discovered DMSO targets cancer cells while leaving healthy cells alone.

There have been doctors who have used DMSO with certain existing chemotherapy drugs. Instead of the chemo destroying everything in its path as usual, the DMSO escorted the chemo to cancer cells only, thus greatly reducing the amount of chemotherapy needed for a result.

Even doctors who had used DMSO with approved chemo drugs were shut down. Using only 10% of any chemotherapy drug and getting positive results adversely affects Big Pharma's profits.

DMSO has been used by itself for anecdotal success with cancer. The Cancer Tutor recommends using it with cesium chloride and other natural remedies to improve those remedies' absorption and efficacy.

A 2010 published study in India mentions that considerable in vitro (non-animal/human) testing has demonstrated DMSO's ability to induce apoptosis in cancer cells. Their study proved cancererous apoptosis went beyond test tubes and cultures by using DMSO on live animals.

The FDA requires DMSO to be sold only as a solvent. Please research thoroughly with the sources provided before purchasing DMSO.
