(NaturalNews) Natural News has donated $10,000 to victims of Typhoon Haiyan, the superstorm that recently devastated the Philippines. Tens of thousands of people are believed to have died in the storm.
"The Philippine National Red Cross says its search and rescue efforts in the wake of a deadly typhoon -- feared to have caused a 'very high number of fatalities' -- is being hampered by looters, including some who attacked trucks of food and other relief supplies the agency was shipping from a port city," reports
Fox News.
The damage was so severe that even getting an accurate count of the fatalities is currently impossible.
According to Fox News:
"The rescue operation is ongoing. We expect a very high number of fatalities as well as injured," Interior Secretary Max Roxas said. "All systems, all vestiges of modern living -- communications, power water, all are down. Media is down, so there is no way to communicate with the people in a mass sort of way."Natural News sends $10,000 to help aid hurricane victims
