(NaturalNews) Monsanto, the biotech giant who genetically alters seed, is now using its millions of dollars of excess profit to install education centers in public zoos. In an attempt to appear eco-friendly and environmentally-conscious, Monsanto is funding an education center at the Saint Louis zoo to accompany their new "Monsanto Insectarium," which is already educating the public about insects and the ecosystem.

In utter hypocrisy, this Monsanto insectarium appears to be all about protecting bees, beetles, and other insects that play an important role in the environment.

Anyone familiar with Monsanto and their Roundup pesticides, know that Monsanto's chemicals are the very thing ravaging the ecosystem. Their chemicals kill off beetle and grasshopper populations and are contributing to the death of entire bee colonies. However, their insect kingdom at the Saint Louis zoo paints a much different picture of themselves.

Upon entering the insectarium, kids can climb onto an eight-foot steel sculpture of a centaurus beetle and pose for a picture. The exhibit area opens up and displays a wide array of more than 100 species of live insects, with information under each exhibit, explaining the importance of each insect.

As one walks through the exhibit, seeing children and adults "enlightened" with beneficial information on insects, one can only grow queasy, knowing the truth about what Monsanto is really doing to this ecosystem. As the word "Monsanto" becomes associated in people's minds with living insects and a thriving ecosystem, the public is deliberately lied to, deceived, betrayed.

Monsanto destroys bee populations

Saint Louis juggernaut Monsanto is the chief engineer of genetically altered seed. Encouraging farmers to produce as much of one crop as possible, Monsanto has definitely made food production more efficient from a global perspective. With their genetic efficiency, comes a high price though - damage to the environment, dependency on oil, and the destruction of people's health. Their seed, which reproduces under certain conditions, is manufactured to withstand their own insecticide and developed to respond to their own fertilizer brands.

The genetically altered plants they induce end up producing genetically modified pollen. This disrupted pollen is taken up by the bees. Ultimately the bees cannot digest this nutrient-void altered pollen and they die due to this.

Bees, essential in pollinating over a third of North America's crops, play an important role in keeping peach, apple, cherry, strawberry almond, and many more crops alive and thriving. The survival of these crops depends a lot on the strength of the bee colonies.

As Monsanto masks the bee death crisis, they try to appear as a bee keeper in the public's eye, not a bee killer. That's why they erected the "Monsanto Insectarium" at the Saint Louis Zoo, filled with educational signs about the importance of bees in the ecosystem.

March against Monsanto and their deceptive education programs

People aren't buying the propaganda, though. As Monsanto is now in the process of funding an education center at the Saint Louis Zoo, many can see right through the head games. In trying to come off as good stewards of the environment, educating about the importance of animals and insects, Monsanto is bold-faced lying about what they are really doing - destroying all that is natural.

Educate others. Awaken family and friends to what Monsanto is really doing. March at the Saint Louis Zoo, protest. Tell the world what is going on so something can be done to stop their deceit.
