(NaturalNews) I recently met with Dr. Jack Singh, founder and president of the Organic Food Bar company, for an interview. I've been a fan of the organic food bar products for many years, and I even reviewed their original food bar several years ago on this website. But I wanted to learn more about the company and the people behind the company, so I invited Dr. Singh for a chat.

You see, when I'm surveying products to potentially recommend to NaturalNews readers, I'm just as interested in the people behind the company as I am the ingredients in the product. I find that the ethics, personalities and passions of the founders are sometimes even more important than what's in the product itself. That's why I've been such a huge fan of companies like Ruth's Hemp Foods (www.RuthsHempFoods.com) and Emerald Balance (www.SGNnutrition.com) -- because the founders are extraordinary people! And extraordinary people make great products, full of good vibes and great nutrition.

So I was delighted to get the chance to meet Jack Singh in person at a recent natural health product trade show, and I spent about an hour with him and his staff, asking about their product formulation philosophy, why they got into the business, what their goals are, and so on. Sometimes when I do this process with companies, I'm not that thrilled about the results, and I never recommend them (so you never hear about them here). But in this case, I was very happy to learn all the things about the Organic Food Bar company that I'll be sharing with you here, because I found this company to be a superb maker of simply outstanding food bars made with 100% real food (and a lot of it is raw or sprouted, as you'll see below), with absolutely no junk, no fillers, and no nonsense. And just as importantly, I also found Dr. Jack Singh and his staff to be genuine people with a driving passion for making really healthy food that benefits the public.

I'll share the full details of my review below, in this article. But here's another great thing you'll want to know about first: We've put together a fantastic exclusive offer for NaturalNews readers that allows you to order Organic Food Bar products at the best price that's ever been offered to the public. You also get free shipping in the United States, making it an unbeatable deal!

I earn absolutely nothing from this exclusive offer, and I wasn't paid anything by the Organic Food Bar company to promote this offer. I put this together solely for the benefit of you, our valued readers, and I earn absolutely nothing off the sale of these products.

However, this is one catch to taking advantage of this exclusive discount on what I consider to be one of the best nutrient-dense organic food bars in the world: In the past, you see, when I've negotiated these special offers on behalf of NaturalNews readers and announced them on the website, the featured companies were slammed with orders and many of our most loyal readers did not act quickly enough to take advantage of the offer themselves. (Because the response to these special offers is huge and immediate, since the news goes online in real time.) So this time, I've decided to do things a little differently: I'm revealing the special discount code in today's e-mail newsletter. The e-mail newsletter is free, of course, and you can sign up right here: https://www.naturalnews.com/readerregistratio...

In our e-mail newsletter issues for the remainder of the week, I'll be sending out the special coupon code that gets you this exclusive discount, so check your e-mail in the next few hours for the discount code.

How to get this exclusive discount on Organic Food Bars

To repeat, here's how to get this exclusive discount on Organic Food Bars:

1) If you're not already a subscriber to the daily NaturalNews e-mail newsletter, sign up here (it's free!): https://www.naturalnews.com/readerregistratio...

2) Check your e-mail for the exclusive link that gets you these discounts on Organic Food Bars! Click the link and you'll instantly see the discounts, directly from the Organic Food Bar company. To get these discounts, you have to buy the bars by the box (12 in a box), not individual bars. With the NaturalNews discount code, you'll get up to 37% off regular prices! For example, a box of twelve organic food bars costs you just $23.88 instead of the normal price of $35.99 -- but only if you have the exclusive NaturalNews discount code (which you'll find in your e-mail, remember?)

To repeat: We do not sell these food bars. We earn nothing on their sale. We were not paid in any way to publicize this discount. This has been negotiated solely on your behalf, as a benefit to NaturalNews readers.

Now, with that out of the way, let's get on to the product review.

A Full Review of the Organic Food Bars

Let's start with the basics. Most "food bars" sold on the market today are just junk. I cringe every time I read the ingredients in a Power Bar or a South Beach Diet Bar. I think to myself, "Do people really eat this stuff?" I guess they do, because "junk" food bars are flying off the shelves in record numbers these days.

There are three key ingredients to watch for in food bars that, in my opinion, let's you know they're made with junk. They are:

1) Soy protein isolate
2) Corn syrup solids or high-fructose corn syrup
3) Sucralose or other artificial sweeteners

If you pick up a food bar and see any of those three ingredients, put that bar down and leave it where you found it. Certainly don't put it in your mouth!

Soy protein isolate is the cheap, processed protein used in most junk food bars because it allows them to add "high protein" to the label without spending any real money on quality protein sources like whey protein, hemp protein or brown rice protein. Most soy protein comes from genetically modified soybeans, and much of it is extracted with chemical solvents. I've seen some scary data on the health impact of soy protein isolate, and I strongly encourage consumers to avoid this ingredient as you would MSG or partially-hydrogenated oils.

High-fructose corn syrup, of course, promotes diabetes and obesity, and artificial chemical sweeteners have been linked to nervous system disorders and cancer. Even the Sucralose sweetener, which claims to be "made from sugar" isn't really just sugar, and it contains a chlorine atom. As anybody schooled in biochemistry knows, chlorine is not friendly to the human body. So avoid all the artificial sweeteners.

What kind of ingredients are in real food bars? Things that qualify as real food, naturally. Things like almonds, sprouted flax and dates. And instead of using artificial chemical sweeteners like Sucralose, high-quality food bars use agave nectar, dates or other natural sweeteners.

The real food ingredients in the Organic Food Bar products

The Organic Food Bar, not surprisingly, uses all real food ingredients. Their top ingredients, which are common across most of their bars, include almonds, sprouted flax seeds, agave nectar, brown rice protein (one of my favorite plant-based protein ingredients), and other goodies. These are real food ingredients, and they're so good for you that I openly recommend these food bars to family and friends on a regular basis.

The Organic Food Bar company uses sprouted flax and sprouted quinoa, too -- meaning the nutritional density of these sprouted ingredients is significantly higher than the more common, low-cost ingredients you might find in lesser food bars (like dormant flax seeds, for example, which have not been "activated" through the sprouting process). The Organic Food Bar company's "Active Greens" bar also uses organic broccoli sprouts, which NaturalNews readers already know to contain a powerhouse of anti-cancer nutrients. Combine that with the other active ingredients in their "Active Greens" formula and you have a super nutrient dense food bar based on real superfoods! It contains spirulina, blueberry, barley grass juice powder, sesame seeds and much more. They're all organic, of course.

In all, the Organic Food Bar products are simply superb. They're made with real food ingredients and they strike just the right balance between taste and nutritional density. While hard-core raw foodists might say these food bars taste a little too sweet (thanks to the delicious dates and agave nectar), most consumers will find the taste just right. And given all the outstanding nutrients you're getting in every bite, the fact that these food bars also taste good is simply astonishing.

Keep in mind, though, that these are in no way "diet" bars or low-carb bars. They pack a good serving of natural plant-based fats and plant-based sugars, like those found in dates. Their protein bar, for example, provides 22g of protein and 33g of carbs (all unrefined, plant-based carbs, of course). It's a 330 calorie bar, which means you need to plan your activity accordingly. I'm extremely active, so I eat as many of these bars as I want, but I do want to emphasize that the bars are fairly calorie dense (just as they're nutritionally dense), so plan your own intake of foods accordingly.

How the Organic Food Bars are unique

Organic Food Bars are moist, not dry. That makes them easy to bite and chew (and digest). They're also nearly 100% organic, making them far superior to the Larabar product (which is natural, but not organic). Furthermore, since the Organic Food Bars use absolutely no fillers, junk or chemical additives (not even preservatives), they're really in a class all their own.

There are virtually no other mainstream food bars that come close to what has been achieved here by the Organic Food Bar company. Certainly, there's the super nutrient-dense WildBar (www.WildBar.info), but at $5 a bar, it's more than twice as expensive as the Organic Food Bar, and it's not available nearly as widely, either. I also like the food bars from Jay Robb (www.JayRobb.com), but only the Organic Food Bar has all the various flavors I recommend (see below), including their incredibly nutrient-dense "Active Greens Chocolate" bar, which is simply a masterpiece of nutrition and taste. The Organic Food Bar website, if you'd like to visit that, is simply www.OrganicFoodBar.com

The bottom line here is that the Organic Food Bar puts most other food bars to shame. I wouldn't even consider buying a Power Bar, Clif Bar, South Beach Diet bar, MetRx protein bar or even a Larabar if I have the choice of an Organic Food Bar instead. The Organic Food Bar is so good that I placed an order for nearly $1,000 of these bars, and when the shipment arrived at my office, I personally bought about $400 worth of these bars myself, and I gave the rest to my staff (which quickly went to work devouring all the organic food bar goodness!). They love these food bars, and now they're part of what's powering the NaturalNews staff!

Since then, I've been enjoying all the varieties of Organic Food Bars, but I wanted to tell you about my FIVE favorite Organic Food Bars and why I like them:

My Top Five Recommended Organic Food Bars

Remember, all of these Organic Food Bars are based on organic almond butter, organic dates, organic agave nectar and organic sprouted fax. That's sort of the "base formula" for all the varieties. From there, various superfood ingredients are added to finalize the recipe. Here are the five I like the most:

Protein: The Protein variety of the Organic Food Bar packs a whopping 22 grams of brown rice protein into a delicious (and highly nutritious) bar. This is my main bar, since I work out a lot and have a very high need for dietary protein. I like to take this bar on trips and use it as a convenient meal replacement bar when I can't find anything fresh (such as when I'm on an airplane). This bar is 80% raw, and it's all plant-based protein, which I like since I prefer to follow a vegan diet much of the time (although I'm not a strict vegan by any means).

Active Greens: The Active Greens Organic Food Bar is my second favorite bar. I use this as my "dessert" after eating a regular meal. It's loaded with superfood nutrients like spirulina, wheat grass, beet juice, broccoli sprouts, blueberry and much more. I consider this a truly medicinal food bar that delivers literally thousands of biochemically-active plant-based compounds (natural medicines) that help prevent serious diseases like cancer. That's my own statement, not the Organic Food Bar's statement, since the FDA would never allow them to tell you that obvious truth about their own bars. But I can tell you that many of the ingredients in this Active Greens bar are, in fact, very good at fighting cancer. They're also highly alkalizing, which has all sorts of other health benefits, including boosting immune function.

Active Greens Chocolate: This is another favorite of mine, because it combines all the superfood goodness of the Active Greens formula with a delicious chocolate recipe. The result? The intense chocolate (which has its own health benefits, by the way) helps mask the "greens" taste, making it all super smooth and super nutrient dense. This is the bar to eat if you want your greens but you also want it to taste like a chocolate dessert. Truly delicious!

Omega-3: This Omega-3 Organic Food Bar is heavy on the sprouted flax, making it a powerhouse of omega-3 fatty acids, which deliver all sorts of amazing health benefits for preventing heart disease, cancer, obesity, mood swings, blood sugar disorders, joint pain and so much more. For those who need extra omega-3s in their diet, this Omega-3 bar is a great source for getting those omega-3 oils from a bioactive source (sprouted flax).

Blueberry: You've got to try the Blueberry Organic Food Bar! To me, it's like eating an intense blueberry cupcake, except these blueberries are real! Did you know that many so-called "blueberries" used in other food bars and pastries are actually just corn syrup solids mixed with artificial colors and glycol compounds? It's shocking, but true! Most blueberries sold in consumer products aren't even real blueberries at all! But the Organic Food Bar company uses wildcrafted blueberries from Canada, and they lend an extraordinarily rich blueberry taste to this bar. It's just loaded with real blueberries, and the health benefits of blueberries are simply phenomenal. Did you know, for example, that blueberries help lower high cholesterol? That they protect the eyes from damage? That they support a healthy heart and nervous system? I consider this blueberry bar to be the best blueberry food bar on the market today. It's astonishing how good this bar tastes (and what it does for your health!)

Those are my five favorite Organic Food Bar flavors. I've eaten at least a few dozen of each flavor, so I know what I'm talking about here. I find these food bars offer sustained energy, healthy plant-based fats, quality plant-based proteins and a variety of supporting nutrients to enhance my own health and keep me performing at my best. Also note that nothing in these bars has been "fortified" with synthetic vitamins or inorganic minerals. Other cheap food bars that are fortified are usually based on junk ingredients to begin with, and then they add a few synthetic chemical vitamins to call it balanced nutrition, but that's just nonsense. Real nutrition comes from real food, and the Organic Food Bar uses only real food ingredients. So there's no need to add isolated vitamins in the first place!

Also: Flavors for kids!

Also remember that the Organic Food Bar company has a variety of incredibly delicious flavors for kids. They have a cherry pie bar, an apple pie bar, an omega-3 bar and more. These are also included in this exclusive NaturalNews discount, so if you want some super nutritious food bars for your kids, jump on this opportunity! (See below for details.)

To repeat, here's how to get this exclusive discount on Organic Food Bars:

1) If you're not already a subscriber to the daily NaturalNews e-mail newsletter, sign up here (it's free!): https://www.naturalnews.com/readerregistratio...
You'll see

2) Check your e-mail for the exclusive link that gets you these generous discounts on Organic Food Bars.

If you're not sure what to buy, I recommend starting with the Active Greens Chocolate bars and the Blueberry bars. If you're looking for a good plant-based protein bar, add in a box of the Protein variety.

To repeat: We do not sell these food bars. We earn nothing on their sale. We were not paid in any way to publicize this discount. This has been negotiated solely on your behalf, as a benefit to NaturalNews readers. When you buy these food bars, you're buying them directly from the Organic Food Bar company, not us.

It may take a while to receive your bars, because usually when we post special offers like this, the company we're recommending gets slammed with orders. It obviously makes sense to place your order sooner, rather than later, to beat the rush. You'll get your bars sooner and you'll get to experience all the Organic Food Bar goodness I've been raving about in this article!

I don't know how long this special offer will last. All the offers we negotiate with product manufacturers are temporary, so if you're interested in taking advantage of this one, do it now. And when you bite into an Active Greens Chocolate bar, just remember: The Health Ranger is eating the same thing, too! This is real food, folks. And I'm real happy to openly recommend this product line.

One last thing: I do want everybody to know that no food bar is as good as eating fresh, raw produce. The best food is always food you grow in your own garden; that you pick fresh, and blend fresh and consume right away. There's no manufactured food product in the world that can beat fresh produce right out of your garden. Food bars can only be the "next best thing" to real, fresh food.

But I think the Organic Food Bar, being 80% - 100% raw (depending on the bar), is just about as close to fresh as you can get in a wrapper. It's a quantum leap above most other foods bars -- which are overly processed and use isolated ingredients -- and it's certainly a quality food sources that's portable and convenient. You can't stuff a garden into your purse, but you can carry several Organic Food Bars with ease.

Organic Food Bars earn my top recommendation, and the company is receiving an "Editor's Choice" award from NaturalNews in the upcoming awards announcements.
