362 gunshot victims, 59 murders in Chicago in September as America's strictest gun control city demonstrates utter stupidity of disarming law-abiding citizens

(NaturalNews) What do some of the strictest gun control laws get you? Violence — lots of it, in fact — and death.
When he came into office as Chicago's 55th mayor, former Clinton and Obama administration official Rahm Emanuel promised good things for the city, including law and order. Well, he's certainly not delivering on that.
According to a running tally of gun-related murders by the Chicago Tribune, the city recorded 59 murders and 362 gunshot victims in September, which was the Democratic-run city's deadliest month since 2002.
The Tribune further reported that the month ended with two consecutive weekends in which more than 50 people were shot. In addition, there were more than 40 shootings per weekend in August, making that city, by far, more deadly than any war zone where U.S. troops are currently deployed.
Most of the violence is black-on-black, but you won't hear President Obama address that; he only speaks when it is politically expedient and advantageous, or so he thinks.
As for his hometown, the blood continues to flow as shooters — most of whom are gang-affiliated — ignore gun laws and blast away at each other in supposed "gun-free zones."
September ended on a deadly note, and not only for the city in general, but especially for one South Side family. On Sunday, September 27, 2015, they were gunned down in a hail of bullets as they were returning home. One of the family members was a young boy who was scooped up and rushed to a nearby hospital by a Chicago police officer, a heroic act that likely saved the boy's life. However, his grandmother and mother were killed; in all, five family members were fired upon after arriving home for the night.
As further noted by Breitbart News:
"When officers arrived they found the severely injured boy and instead of waiting for an ambulance they made the snap decision to drive the child to the hospital on their own. 'The officer saw a seriously injured 11-month-old child and made a decision to transport that child immediately to a hospital,' Chicago Deputy Chief Eugene Roy said. 'He made the right call, and he is somebody we are very proud of.'
"Police think that the targets were two men of the family who were both wounded in the drive by shooting. It is assumed the shooting was gang related."
In recent days, Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy introduced new measures aimed at cracking down on illegal guns, as reported by CBS News. Included in the new measures is a program that assigned a dedicated detective to gun cases, whose job will be to track the "origin and flow" of any weapons involved in gun-related crimes.
"We are handling every single gun arrest as if it were a robbery or a burglary, with a detective response, and gathering of evidence, to ensure that we can do everything that we can to ensure that that case gets prosecuted to the fullest extent that we can," he said in making the announcement.
"That's something that we're seeing some results on already," he added. "We've been doing it for about two-and-a-half months, and the fact is we're getting through those preliminary hearings. We're getting better prosecutions, working closely with the state's attorney.
"We know that gang violence is the number one cause of what's happening on the streets, and we're gathering more and more intelligence, and trying to refine that intelligence to intercept issues before they happen," McCarthy said.
Violence in October has started off with fewer shootings and killings than the two previous months. But given the history of carnage in what amounts to a citywide gun-free zone, the respite from violence is not likely to last, given that the police chief and city council members want to double down on insane anti-gun policies.
