America's universities rapidly collapsing into isolated enclaves of twisted language lunacy
by Ethan A. Huff, staff writer
(NaturalNews) A fatal disease is ravaging America's colleges and universities. No, it's not cancer or heart disease, but extreme liberalism and the abandonment of all decency and common sense. The gender classifications of male, female and even transgender are apparently no longer enough in this New American Society as a whole new system of gender-neutral -- and, for all intents and purposes, absolutely meaningless -- gender pronouns are now showing up on college registration forms to coddle the masses of brain-damaged American youth who apparently can't even properly classify their own sex organs.
The Harvard University campus newspaper The Crimson reports that the Ivy League's Faculty of Arts and Sciences has adopted a new registration tool that allows students to choose their own unique gender pronouns when enrolling in classes. If a student chooses to be a "ze," for example, he or she will now have the option do so. If an individual student wants to completely decimate all grammatical accuracy by identifying as the plural pronoun "they," he or she will also now have this option while attending classes at Harvard.
Harvard faculty members say that the purpose of the change is to "make students feel more comfortable with their gender identity" by erasing all the traditional male and female pronouns that humans have been using comfortably for thousands of years. They apparently don't care about the remaining 99.99 percent of sane students at Harvard who still have functioning brain cells and recognize that the only two genders that exist on the planet are male and female.
These students, it turns out, will now be forced to navigate a complex maze of completely made-up gender pronouns to accommodate an extremely deranged minority of students at Harvard who, rebelling against the naturally created order, would prefer to be classified by made-up words that have absolutely no meaning whatsoever. There's no such thing as a "ze," a "xem," or a "xyr," of course, but we can't let rationality get in the way of the growing absurdity of political correctness.
"Finally, a progressive university that recognizes my right to identify as an electric toaster," wrote one commenter at The Crimson in jest of the ridiculous new policy.
Making up gender pronouns to classify oneself is mental illness
Despite its absurdity, this story isn't a parody of America's degeneration into absolute idiocracy; it's a factual reflection of what's actually going on in the halls of "higher education" these days. The next generation of American youth is being actively indoctrinated into a mindset of gender neutrality where every individual chooses what he, she, or "it" is from an all-you-can-eat buffet of meaningless words and letter combinations like "zirs" and "xe."
To think that what is arguably the most prestigious university in the world, the alma mater of many of the world's most influential leaders and philanthropists, now endorses the incorrect usage of "they" and "their" to describe singular individuals in order to avoid "offending" them is simply mind-boggling. Even worse is Harvard's open embrace of virtually every wind of change that blows from the minds of the morally bankrupt and sensibly corrupt.
"There is nothing kind about enabling someone in [his or her] mental illness," wrote another The Crimson commenter in condemnation of Harvard's capitulation to insanity. "Progressives are cruel to transgenders by encouraging their delusions."
"Many transgenders are that way due to childhood abuse. Shame on the PC administrators at Harvard, who are more interested in feeling good about their personal 'enlightenment' than doing an objective study about why some people hate their own bodies so much as to want to mutilate them."
