Pope Francis says transgenderism goes against God; people should learn to live with their own bodies

by Jonathan Benson, staff writer

(NaturalNews) The man who many see as the world's most progressive Pope to date has taken a vocal stand against the apparent agenda to normalize transgenderism. Pope Francis recently gave an interview to the National Catholic Reporter (NCR) in which he essentially stated that altering one's gender is anti-God, and that there is a natural order to things by which humans must abide.

Pope Francis' statements, which were only recently published by the English press (the original interview took place just after the start of the new year), liken transgenderism to genetic modification (GM) and the nuclear arms race, both of which are technologies designed to destroy creation. Both of these abominations, as well as transgenderism, represent blatant sinful acts against Creator God, says Pope Francis.

"Let's think of the nuclear arms, of the possibility to annihilate in a few instants a very high number of human beings," he stated. "Let's think also of genetic manipulation, of the manipulation of life, or of the gender theory, that does not recognize the order of creation."

"With this attitude, man commits a new sin, that against God the Creator. The true custody of creation does not have anything to do with the ideologies that consider man like an accident, like a problem to eliminate. God has placed man and woman and the summit of creation and has entrusted them with the earth. The design of the Creator is written in nature."

Mankind's tampering with natural order constitutes "ideological colonization"; the spread of anti-God doctrines

Such words might run counter to America's blossoming culture of shameless degeneracy, but they're hardly just a product of religious conviction. Common sense suggests that tinkering with the natural order in any of these ways bodes portentous for the future of humanity. According to Pope Francis, gender is not simply a social construct as many now claim -- it's written into the very blueprints of life itself.

Such wisdom isn't incongruent with Pope Francis' other proclamations about sustainability and environmental protection. In order to protect creation and promote the proliferation of life, he says, humans must first learn to embrace their own design and utilize it for good, not try to alter it to become something they are not.

Pope Francis also condemns the promulgation of transgenderism and other forms of unnatural life manipulation by developed countries. Referring to such a phenomenon as "ideological colonization," Pope Francis warns that such destruction of the natural order will not come without major consequences.

"This is the ideological colonization. It colonizes the people with an idea that changes, or wants to change, a mentality or a structure," he stated. "It is not new. The same was done by the dictators of the last century. They came with their own doctrine -- think of the Balilla [youth groups of Fascist Italy], think of the Hitler Youth."

One doesn't even have to be religious to see how these waves of cultural and social change are transforming humanity. GMOs, transgenderism and nuclear arms, among many other things, represent the antithesis of creation and will only bring about destruction.

"Creation is a gift that God has given to man to keep custody over it, to cultivate it, to use if [sic] for sustenance and to give it to future generations," he stated.

"The vocation to guard is human before Christian, it regards all: It is the custody of creation -- its beauty -- it is to have respect for all the creatures of God and for the environment in which we live. If we fail in this responsibility, if we do not take care of our brothers and of all creation, destruction advances."
