Bacon rage! McDonald's customer fires bullets through drive-thru window in deadly junk food induced tantrum
by Ethan A. Huff, staff writer
(NaturalNews) A Michigan woman will spend at least two years in prison for firing a 9mm handgun at employees inside a Grand Rapids McDonald's restaurant last February. After receiving a McDonald's cheeseburger that apparently didn't contain the bacon she claims to have ordered, Shaneka Monique Torres, 30, decided to fire a bullet through the drive-thru window in what media reports are calling a crazy case of "bacon rage."
The incident occurred on February 10, 2014, at 3:10 a.m., when Torres and another woman reportedly "complained that [their] order was incorrect" to a McDonald's employee working the graveyard shift at the drive-thru window. The employee allegedly walked away from the window in response to Torres' rant, so Torres decided to pull out her 9mm Glock and fire it into the restaurant.
Though nobody was injured, the bullet reportedly traveled through the drive-thru window at "head level," went across the dining room, and exited the restaurant through another window. Police were quickly able to track down Torres, and she was later convicted of a felony firearms charge after just one hour of deliberations. She faces a minimum two-year prison term when she is sentenced next month.
Ex-employee from McDonald's goes on violent, fast food-induced rampage
McDonald's fast food seems to bring out the worst in people, as another incident that occurred just this past April at a franchise location in St. Paul, Minnesota, also made national news. An unnamed employee who was recently fired from McDonald's reportedly went nuts, according to the Daily Mail Online, trashing the restaurant and swearing at employees in a violent rage.
Video footage of the outrageous incident, which you can view here, shows the man smashing glasses, throwing drinks and appliances to the floor, and cursing at his former employees. As you can see strewn across the store were trays, drink cups, a can of whipped cream, straws, ketchup, and various other McDonald's food items.
No McNuggets for breakfast? Here, let me try to murder you
Several years prior at a McDonald's location in Ohio, a woman named Melodi Dushane also decided to go on a violent rampage because, get this, she couldn't order Chicken McNuggets for breakfast as they're only served for lunch and dinner.
Video footage of this ridiculous fast food freakout shows Dushane trying to clobber McDonald's employees before reaching through the drive-thru window and actually hitting an employee. Before leaving the scene, Dushane apparently also smashed the drive-thru window with a bottle, for which she was later sentenced to 60 days in prison and ordered to pay for the broken window.
Or how about the infamous topless woman from Florida who decided to enter a McDonald's restaurant in St. Petersburg and proceed to ransack the store and attack employees? It's unclear from the media reports whether or not this crazy woman was also suffering from McNugget mania, but like the others she created quite the scene at the fast food chain, putting store employees and customers at risk of injury or death.
"Ambien?" asked one Huffington Post commenter, referring to the popular pharmaceutical drug product that often causes users to become literal zombies, waking up in the middle of the night and doing crazy things without any cognitive awareness. In the case of a 45-year-old man from North Carolina, Ambien use resulted in the murder of eight people and the injury of two others.
