Democratic senator admits they 'knew all along' Obama was lying about health care insurance
by J. D. Heyes
(NaturalNews) Then-Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has famously said of Obamacare, "We have to pass it to know what's in it."
Turns out that was a lie, too.
Last weekend, appearing on ABC's This Week with fill-in host Martha Raddatz, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., admitted full-out that Democrats knew in advance that tens of millions of Americans would be kicked off their current health insurance plans as part of Obamacare's implementation.
When she was asked whether Democrats felt they had been misled by President Obama regarding his lie that Americans who liked their plans could keep their plans in the individual insurance market, Gillibrand shot back: "He should've just been specific. No, we all knew (my emphasis)."
'Everyone knew but us'
She went further, adding that the entire point of Obamacare was a redistribution scheme - a Left-wing community activist's dream come true. It was designed to cover "things people need, like preventative care, birth control, pregnancy," Gillibrand said. Since redistribution of wealth and resources was a stated goal of this insidious law, she said anyone who claimed ignorance was simply being dishonest:
The whole point of the plan is to cover things people need, like preventive care, birth control, pregnancy. How many women, the minute they get pregnant, might risk their coverage. How many women paid more because of their gender, because they might get pregnant. Those are the reforms.
So they knew, all along, that tens of millions would lose their private-sector coverage. They designed it that way. Democrats' intentions the whole time was to kick you out of plans you liked and could afford, so they could implement the ultimate socialist health coverage scheme.
Barack Obama knew. Pelosi knew. Harry Reid and all the Senate Democrats knew. The House Democrats knew.
Everyone knew but us.
Does that sound like liberal "compassion" to you? Does that sound like the Democrat Party gives a damn about "the little guy" and "the middle class"?
Shortly after Obama directed the Office of Management and Budget to find a way to continue the government's 75 percent health premium subsidy for lawmakers and their staffs, a noted radio host pointed out that our leaders are damned lucky that we live in a civil society; otherwise, excusing the governing class from the costly ravages of a terrible law like Obamacare might have led to them being dragged out into the streets by revolting masses and strung up.
I agree with that observation. And the more we learn the truth about what is in this horrible law, how it was passed and the deals made to the Insider Class to ram it through, the more that host's observation becomes prophetic.
'Remember 'em at the polls in 2014'
Americans are a tolerant bunch, for the most part. We put up with a lot of BS from our ruling elite. We are well aware of the perks they get, the special consideration they grant themselves, the exemptions they carve out for varied special interests and the fact that they have created two Americas - one for them and one for us.
But this takes the cake. Or it ought to, anyway.
We Americans don't drag our elected leaders out into the street and exact "justice" on them. We go to the polls and we vote (which is how it should be).
Every single Democrat who voted for this bill (I'm not including Republicans because not a single Republican voted for the final Obamacare legislation) and inflicted this pox called Obamacare on our country should be made to pay with their careers.
The lying and scheming is bad enough, but the implications of all that lying and scheming will manifest themselves in tens of millions of Americans over the coming months.
Just in time for the 2014 elections.
