Bill Clinton tells Obama to honor his word and let people keep their existing health plans

by J. D. Heyes

(NaturalNews) When you have Bill Clinton imploring you to be honest, the world has definitely taken a tour into the bizarre.

Earlier this week, President Obama, currently under fire from all segments of society for lying about Americans being able to keep their current health insurance plans and doctors under Obamacare, was lectured by former Liar-In-Chief Clinton, who told an interviewer that folks who want to keep their healthcare plans should be able to do so.

"So I personally believe, even if it takes a change to the law, the president should honor the commitment the federal government made to those people and let them keep what they got," he told OZY founder Carlos Watson.

And he said it with a straight face, without a hint of irony.

For those of you who have simply forgotten or who were too young to remember, before Barack Obama, Bill Clinton was the presidency's worst (or best?) liar. So much so that he was even impeached for lying to Congress about having sex with an intern, Monica Lewinsky.

Here are just a few examples of Clinton's pathological lying:

-- On Jan. 19, 1992, the future two-term president said, "I want to make it very clear that this middle-class tax cut, in my view, is central to any attempt we're going to make to have a short-term economic strategy."

But on Jan. 14, 1993, at a press conference, Clinton said, "From New Hampshire forward, for reasons that absolutely mystified me, the press thought the most important issue in the race was the middle-class tax cut. I never did meet any voter who thought that."

-- On Sept. 8, 1992, Clinton said, "The only people who will pay more income taxes are the wealthiest 2 percent, those living in households making over $200,000 a year."

In response to a Bush-Quayle ad stating that people with incomes as little as $36,000 would pay more taxes under the Clinton plan, Bill Clinton said on Oct. 1, 1992, "It's a disgrace to the American people that the president [Bush] of the United States would make a claim that is so baseless, that is so without foundation, so shameless in its attempt to get votes under false pretenses."

But Washington Post reporter Bob Woodward, writing in his book, The Agenda, noted, "While Clinton continued to defend his middle-class tax cut publicly, he privately expressed the view to his advisers that it was intellectually dishonest."

-- And, of course, the lie that landed him on the very short list of presidents who have been impeached by the House:

"I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Monica Lewinsky."

"With those words," says a Time magazine caption, "President Clinton didn't just dig himself a hole, he stole a backhoe, dug a really deep hole, drove the backhoe into the hole, wired the backhoe with explosives and blew it up. Strenuously denying his affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky at a January press conference, Clinton was later impeached by the House of Representatives for lying about the matter under oath."

And in typical Clinton fashion, he sought to blame the people's investigator into the matter, special counsel Kenneth Starr, instead of immediately taking responsibility for his actions, imploring Starr to stop "prying in to people's private lives" - which was, after all, his role in the affair.

"I did have a relationship with Miss Lewinsky that was not appropriate," Clinton said in a nationally televised apology. "I know that my public comments and my silence about this matter gave a false impression."
