Peasant farmers defeat Monsanto's puppet Santos in Colombia

(NaturalNews) In a stunning reversal President Santos suspended Resolution 9.70. The implementation of draconian provisions in the Free Trade Agreement between the United States and Colombia.
In my article Obama's Secret War on Colombia . I detailed the connection between Monsanto, The Obama Administration and the Colombian Government to force farmers to only grow government approved seeds.
Farmers and truckers had staged a massive national protest that focused on the capital city of Bogota Colombia. It started peaceful Aug 19th but soon was plagued with violence. Much of the violence coming from Police infiltrators acting as agent provocateurs. The protest grew to include a wide range of groups that had grievances with the Government. The success marks a major departure in the outcome of efforts by the farmers in the past. The Government has been able withstand previous protests. This protest grew to massive proportions that included civil disobedience tactics like blocking more than 40 roads nationwide, protesting farmers forced the Colombian government to negotiate the rejection of a farm bill and the release of detained protesters. A documentary on YouTube directed by Victoria Salano identified the connection between Resolution 9.70 and the Free Trade Agreement. It showed the shocking force used by the Santos government compelling farmers to use government approved seeds. The video went viral galvanizing support for the protest with a primary goal of getting rid of Resolution 9.70.
