How to do a mini detox to jumpstart your body
by PF Louis
(NaturalNews) There are many methods of detoxing, all vital for surviving our toxic environment of bad food, bad water, and bad air. Some are too extreme and time consuming for those who are not so bad off and too busy.
For the not so bad off and too busy here are some tips to maintain a sufficient level of detoxing that will rejuvenate and revitalize while reducing the load off an overburdened immune system.
Baseline or ground zero
The first step is to avoid bad foods and water. There's not much one can do about air, but adding several indoor plants into your dwelling or workspace is a beneficial easy first step (http://www.naturalnews.com/035593_indoor_air_plants_detox.html).
When it comes to food, don't be moderate, be extreme. Refrain from consuming even health food store processed foods. Buy whole bulk organic produce and grains and cook at home instead of eating out a lot.
Stay in touch with NaturalNews regularly for the latest nutritional advice or get up to date with free special reports here (http://www.naturalnews.com/Index-SpecialReports.html).
Avoid snacks and beverages with refined sugar, artificial sweeteners, and HFCS (high fructose corn syrup) or corn syrup of any type. Drink only purified water, which is often missing from bottled water (http://www.naturalnews.com/032551_bottled_water_faucet.html).
If you don't have a combination reverse-osmosis and charcoal filter purifier, you can always fill up containers from grocery and health food stores that have water purifiers displaying both types of purification for pennies a gallon.
Reverse osmosis removes most of the fluorides, however it also takes out a considerable amount of vital trace minerals. Those can be replenished with trace mineral drops or a bit of pure, unprocessed sea salt.
Easy detoxing on a strong foundation of reduced toxic intake
• A half lemon or more squeezed into pure warm water without sweetener upon arising each day helps alkalize the body and stimulate the liver.
• Juicing three times a week and/or juice fasting once a week is sufficient for adding nutrients and assisting detoxification. Combine carrots, celery, greens and an apple.
You can add a chunk of anti-inflammation ginger and/or a blood purifying raw beet and/or a chunk of burdock root to purify the blood into that mix too (http://www.naturalnews.com/038371_juice_cleanse_Max_Gerson_health.html).
• Chlorella and cilantro (coriander) are potent heavy metal detox foods, especially for mercury. Chlorella is a food that can be consumed daily (http://www.naturalnews.com/036086_chlorella_superfood_algae.html).
Organic cilantro is cheap and you can add it to any food, soup, or juicing mix. You can even make a yummy cilantro pesto. Plenty of recipes on line.
• Here's a detox method that can be done for a week or two at a time without disturbing your daily routine. Make a slurry of pure water and organic activated charcoal powder (not capsules).
Drink a glassful once or twice a day on an empty stomach. More here (http://www.naturalnews.com/028461_activated_charcoal_medicine.html).
• A teaspoon or two of food grade diatamaceous earth in water or freshly squeezed citrus juice is a proven method of removing parasites, which are more common than most realize.
• Zeolite is a safe, proven highly effective heavy metal detox agent that won't interfere with your day-to-day routines.
Avoid the hype-filled morass of liquid zeolite MLM sources and get the more cost effective dry Clinoptilolite Zeolite powder from a reliable source (http://cart.utopiasilver.com).
• Many swear by bentonite clay soaks or consuming oral bentonite clay for detoxing.
• Sweat it out. Get thee to a sweat lodge, or sauna or steam room after working up a sweat. That's detoxing through the skin.
