Facebook allows graphic pro-rape content despite banning moms' photos of children with anti-GMO signs

(NaturalNews) Social media giant Facebook is the target of a new human rights campaign trying to rid the site of highly-offensive, gender-based hate speech, according to new reports. The Everyday Sexism Project (ESP), Women, Action & the Media (WAM!), and several other activist groups have officially launched "#FBRape," a hash tag-based grassroots initiative calling on Facebook to remove pages, photos, groups, and other site content that advocates rape and other forms of heinous violence against women.
Sample images collected and presented to the public by both ESP and WAM! as evidence of the problem are too graphic and offensive to show here, but suffice it to say that such content makes extreme light of abusing, raping, and even killing women. And while both groups say that they have repeatedly tagged such content as offensive, as well as reported it directly to Facebook, the social media site has thus far refused to remove any of it, citing a lack of precedent in its official terms and conditions for use.
"We review the photo you reported, but found it doesn't violate Facebook's Community Standard on graphic violence, which includes depicting harm to someone or something, threats to the public's safety, or theft and vandalism," reads one response from Facebook as to why it did not remove a reported photo depicting a woman dead on the ground, blood all around her, with the wordplay caption, "I like her for her brains."

If such an offensive image and caption does not "depict harm to someone or something," then we do not know what does in the eyes of Facebook. And yet at the same time, Facebook recently went after a mother who posted innocent pictures of her children holding up signs promoting clean, organic foods and questioning the safety of untested genetically-modified organisms (GMOs). As we reported, the mother of two, Andrea Lalama, had her Facebook account immediately suspended upon posting the photos, as did another Facebook user who posted similar photos from the March Against Monsanto.
But disgusting photos depicting women being tied up and gagged, with captions urging men to rape them, are somehow acceptable in the demented world of Facebook. In other words, good is evil and evil is good in the faux reality created by Mark Zuckerberg and his ilk, which arbitrarily decide which content is acceptable and which is not. This is nothing but centralized, propaganda-driven social engineering, and the sooner the public wakes up to this fact and ditches Facebook for good, the better off we will be as a human species.
"We created the campaign because of a long build up of frustration amongst female users and women's groups internationally at what we perceived to be a serious problem in Facebook's methods of dealing with content relating to rape and domestic violence," said #FBRape campaign co-creator Laura Bates to NewsMediaRockStars.com. "Despite the efforts of many to raise awareness of the problem or contact Facebook, change simply didn't seem to be coming, so we launched the campaign as an international effort to try to have a real impact."
