The best ways to cleanse this spring
by PF Louis
(NaturalNews) Spring is approaching, and for many this year it's a welcome event. What is common for many, even if there is little difference in the weather for some, is the notion of spring cleaning.
This normally involves issues around living quarters, clothing, or motor vehicles for most. But it's a good time to clean out that vehicle in which you reside called the body.
Soft cleansing
The holidays may have brought out the worst in you for eating junk or processed food. If so, now is the time to stop, completely. No more bleached, white flour cakes, pastries, beverages, alcohol, or candy now and for the rest of Spring. No more sugar on or in anything.
It's also a good idea to lay off consuming commercial factory farm meats that aren't grass fed and using dairy products and eggs from organic sources only. (http://www.naturalnews.com/039290_Zilmax_cattle_Cargill.html)
Upon waking up each morning, squeeze at least half a lemon or lime in warm water and gulp it down. This helps the body's buffer system adjust toward alkalinity or positive pH levels. It also helps cleanse the liver.
Speaking of the liver, you could try supplementing with dandelion and milk thistle herbal extracts to cleanse and strengthen that master cleansing organ, which may be clogged up a bit.
Think green more. Add a daily, strong, green superfood powder like chlorella or spirulina mixed into a fairly palatable juice or in tablets. And eat more fruit and greens, especially salads.
Drink more purified water. If you live in an area that fluoridates its water, either purchase real spring water or use reverse osmosis with carbon filters. You can take advantage of one of those reverse osmosis carbon filter machines in food stores that charge 25 to 50 cents a gallon U.S.
It's time to exercise. No need to join a gym. You could invest in a mini-trampoline or re-bounder and jump up and down on it to pump the gunk out of those stagnate lymph nodes. They aren't equipped with pumps of their own, and lymph contains metabolic waste that needs to be cleared out.
Then again, it's warmed up and the trees are beginning to blossom. So take a walk in a decent patch of nature, if such a patch is accessible. Hopefully, you've been supplementing D3. But now is the time to expose some skin to the sun as well. Besides allowing vitamin D3 to be produced naturally, sunshine has other cleansing properties.
Hardcore cleansing
You may be ready for this level if you've already made all or part of the soft cleansing part of your daily routine.
Or, if you're in bad enough condition and you're willing to go through a rigorous boot camp cleansing and handle potential detox healing crisis with ample rest and moderate exercise, hardcore cleansing is right for you.
Juicing and/or blending green smoothies while eating little or nothing solid offers intense cleansing. A juicing fast for six days or so will get a lot of sludge out of your system.
Juicing with a slow speed masticating blender is best. A good combination for juicing is organic carrots, kale, and an apple. Adding a bit of ginger is a good idea too.

The gastrointestinal tract can be cleansed with organic activated charcoal powder and water away from food. (http://www.naturalnews.com/028461_activated_charcoal_medicine.html)
Some have had success with a three day apple fast recommended by the psychic healer Edgar Cayce. Use organic apples only.
Now is the time to introduce yourself to enemas, especially coffee enemas for cleansing the liver, as used in the Gerson cancer therapy and by Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez whose therapy is based on Dr. William Kelley's unique cancer healing approach.
