Wild foods on camera: Saguaro cactus fruit picking with David Wolfe

(NaturalNews) If you've never seen a band of raw foodists picking wild saguaro cactus fruit, you're in for a real treat. When I used to live in Tucson, I went out with David Wolfe, Raw CEO and several other wild foods enthusiasts to pick raw saguaro cactus fruit from the Sonoran desert. It's one of the craziest and most bizarre fruit picking events you've ever seen, and I've got the video to prove it!

Saguaro Cactus Fruit is one of the most delicious wild foods you'll ever taste. It's like eating nature's candy! And you'll never find it available for sale because picking Saguaro Cactus Fruit is illegal on public lands. (In these videos, we picked them on private land with the permission of the property owner.)
Saguaro Cactus Fruits are also extremely difficult to harvest. They require a deep commitment to wild foods and the willingness to work in 112-degree temperatures in the desert sun, surrounded by the hazards of the desert (jumping cholla plants, rattlesnakes, etc.)
But we love a challenge, so we joined David Wolfe's cactus fruit picking adventure and headed into the Sonoran desert north of Tucson, Arizona to grab some of this fruit for ourselves. It's hard work!
