Build Natural Co Q-10 in Your Body
by Christopher Gussa
(NaturalNews) As a "health supplement" CO Q-10 is isolated mostly from beef heart (never from organically raised cows by the way, as that would be too expensive). This type of CO Q-10 is referred to as "Natural CO Q-10" even though it is an isolated substance. Then there is the "ever popular" totally synthesized way of making it in the lab from all synthetic compounds. This is called, believe it or not, "Vegetarian CO Q-10". Both of these methods, no matter who makes or endorses them, are really nothing more than pharma type drugs when you think about it (including the new "Ubiquinol Co Q-10"). They have nothing to do with anything natural other than mimicking something natural found in our bodies. However true natural Coenzyme Q-10 that is made in our own bodies is truly wonderful stuff to say the least!
Coenzyme Q-10 is a member of a family of compounds called ubiquinones. These are water-insoluble substances involved in electron transport and energy production in the mitochondria of our cells. It is found naturally throughout the whole body. It is naturally obtained from eating lots of meat and seafood, but the majority is created directly by the body itself. Although nearly all body cells make it, coenzyme Q-10 is concentrated in the muscles and in the heart, liver, kidneys and pancreas. Approximately 50 percent of the body`s stores of coenzyme Q-10 are found in the mitochondria of the cells.
While coenzyme Q-10 is involved in strengthening body membranes, it`s main function is to carry electrons that are needed in the energy generation process. This is truly a wonderful naturally occurring coenzyme in our body function. However if a truly safe, "made from all organic beef heart" Co Q-10 supplement became available, it is still not advised to take. Here`s why:
Wouldn`t it make sense that if we keep giving our bodies a pre-manufactured synthesized coenzyme that our bodies will eventually get "lazy" and stop producing it? This does not even seem to concern most "health professionals" in the least. This is one reason we can`t just completely accept everything that popular commercial "health science" tries to dictate to us.
Wouldn`t it make much more sense to take the true natural whole plant substances that helped us to manufacture CO Q-10 naturally in our own bodies?
So what plant substances would one use and what functions do we address in the body to help us produce this coenzyme naturally? A great combo of plant substances for this is in a formula of five herbs. Anyone with a knowledge of Chinese Herbs can make this formula. (The herbs are all mixed in equal portions of 5:1 extract powder packed into "00" capsules) Any of the herbs can be of great benefit singularly or in combination. Lets take a look at these 5 herbs and how they all work together as a team:
First, this formula starts with the most heart and blood normalizing herb known to man which is the root of Dan Shen. (CO Q-10 supplements cannot even hold a candle to this amazing herb). This herb functions to move the blood freely and to supply the binders necessary to attach and carry many electrons and energy components that create natural CO Q 10. Along with many "unknown in their function" factors of helping the heart, much more can be read about Dan Shen in an article found right here at Natural News http://www.naturalnews.com/025028.html
Added to this is Shan Zha (Crataegus pinnatifida fruit) This is the large Chinese hawthorn berry. We have all heard of taking hawthorn berries for the heart however this variety of hawthorn is much stronger then the western hawthorn berries. (The fruit is about 10 times as big for one thing) Also in Traditional Chinese Medicine this berry is used more for digestion than as a heart tonic. Yet it is in the fact that it is used for digestion that hints of it`s use as a CO Q -10 builder for the heart. Here`s why:
TCM uses the word "digestion" mostly in conjunction with "the energy factor that the stomach and spleen play in converting food into usable blood nutrients and components." This is the same type of thing that western science is talking about when it says, "Coenzyme Q-10 is a member of a family of compounds called ubiquinones. These are water-insoluble substances involved in electron transport and energy production in the mitochondria of cells."
Then added to this is the most amazing Ling Zhi Hong (Red Reishi Mushroom).
Many studies done in Japan have shown Reishi to have a powerful effect on the body`s overall resistance to disease. They have proven it strengthens the heart and lungs in a very big way. It's positive action on the heart is not fully understood (as nothing can be totally explained by science), but most would agree with the many conclusions stacking up that it helps manufacture CO Q-10 as a part of it`s action.
Next added is Siberian Ginseng. (Eleutherococcus) Besides the super adaptagenic and immune building effects of Siberian Ginseng, the blood oxygen is raised from it as well. This makes the blood a "hot bed" for the tonic effect of the all the other heart healthy, CO Q-10 building herbs. Also, unlike Panax Ginseng, this will lower blood pressure if it is high. An article on Siberian Ginseng at Natural News can be found here: http://www.naturalnews.com/024235.html
Finally added to the Formula is a mushroom called Fu Ling which is known as "The Great Absorber". This mushroom is a powerful spleen and kidney tonic used in much of TCM. It serves many functions but in this formula it is used to help us absorb all the energy in the food we eat and then apply it to the natural manufacturing of CO Q-10 in the mitochondria of our cells. It also doubles as a super helper to absorb and utilize all the other herbs in this combination.
Another herb that can be taken along with this formula is He Shou Wu. This can greatly help the kidney and liver in many of their rolls including the production of true natural CO Q 10. Much more can be read about He Shou Wu at this Natural News article found here: http://www.naturalnews.com/023021.html
This formula is recommended to be taken in 2-3 "00" capsule doses 1-2 times daily between meals (depending on heart health concerns). The smaller dose is used for maintenance of a healthy heart.

Chris Gussa: "Plant Cures is currently working with over 9,000 medicinal plants to bring about healing through the true science of combining the whole energies of whole plants. A plants energy is from its whole part. (flowers, fruit, leaves, stems, roots etc) While the "science" of seeing some of the isolated molecular constituents in food and herbs can be interesting at times, there is no "one magic ingredient" in any plant. (You would think it would be science trying to tell you this type of logic, instead of me) But no! They would rather play this childish game of trying to find the "Pot of gold" in a plant so they can synthesize it and dazzle the FDA with a "New Drug" that will most likely cause the usual death and destruction!
