Health Freedom Is Part of a Larger Battle Begun Long Ago

(NaturalNews) The vitally important erosion of our health freedoms is but a part of the overall erosion of the God-given unalienable rights declared by our founders in the Declaration of Independence and secured by the Constitution. In order to secure and restore our health freedoms "We the People" must ultimately take action to restore all of our freedoms. If we don`t then we will someday wake up as slaves and the echos of freedom will have faded into history.
It all started with the not-so-honest "Honest" Abe Lincoln -- or perhaps I should say that loss of liberty and freedom was cinched by the man we have ironically been taught to think of as "the great emancipator". As has happened through the ages, the winners get to (re)write history to glorify themselves and disparage those who lost. Despite the myths in our history books, the erstwhile senator from Illinois was a slick railroad lawyer who used to ride around with railroad magnates in their special railroad cars. He was a follower of Alexander Hamilton and Henry Clay and a reader of Carl Marx. He got into Congress though a split vote in the new Republican party when a much better candidate, a real statesmen, a Democrat, Breckenridge didn`t get in.
Old "Honest" Abe secreted an expeditionary force to Ft. Sumter to get the war started. In the "battle" no one was killed. After the "battle" was over, a ceremonial cannon shot celebrating the "victory" exploded killing one soldier. The newspapers headlined "great loss of life" and the war was on. "Honest" Abe changed our government from what it was, a confederacy of states operating in liberty, to a national government centralized in Washington, D.C. and operating under the dictates of the president. Congress was dissolved sine die and is now essentially a corporate Congress.
The people who orchestrated this were the international bankers and "Honest" Abe was their useful idiot. He reneged when they charged him a ridiculous amount of interest to finance the war and this led to his demise at Ford`s Theater when he issued Lincoln greenbacks, which was interest-free money (cutting out the international bankers).
A lot of things that Lincoln said in his speeches were actually not said by him at all. The Emancipation Proclamation was only a political ploy to mess up the South`s economy. Lincoln didn`t give a rap about the slaves and actually wanted to ship them back to Africa, but was dissuaded when one of his generals told him that the USA didn`t have enough ships to do that. Lincoln actually wrecked the greatest country ever conceived through his war. More people perished in the civil war than any other war before and since in the USA. The Union generals (some of them Communist `48ers from Europe) ripped through the South, some with the intent to kill civilians rather than pure military people.
If there is any doubt about this, read the following books of that era, "Crimes of the Civil War and the Curse of the Funding System" by Henry Clay Dean and also "A Girl`s Life in Virginia Before the War" by Lutitia Burrell. Also later books detailing this are "Gangs of America" by Ted Nace, "Blood Money -- The Civil War and the Federal Reserve" by Graham, also read "The Real Lincoln" by Thomas DiLorenzo and also "Red Republicans" by Kennedy. Actually, Lincoln didn`t keep the Republic together, he ripped it apart and it`s never recovered.
What Lincoln did, along with the 14th Amendment, was turn the United States of America -- an organic federal republic where the individual was sovereign, the states were next, and the federal government least powerful and existing only to protect life and property and facilitate trade between the states -- into an ever more powerful top-down federal government which passed laws and created agencies who passed their own codes -- all of which stripped away our freedoms. Instead of citizens with unalienable rights, we became property of the corporate UNITED STATES OF AMERICA -- "man and other animals" is the term used in subsequent laws and codes -- and our courtrooms came to display the gold fringed Admiralty flags instead of the flag of the United States of America (it is no accident that our courts and agencies are listed in Dunn and Bradstreet as "For Profit Corporations").
The corporate UNITED STATES of the past century and a half has more and more served the monied interest of the corporate world at the expense of the common man. That is why in every area of industry, including health care, rights and privilege have been extended more to for-profit industry and less to individuals. "Profit" is the key word. When profit faces off against humanity, profit usually is victorious. Money talks and freedom walks. That is why industry is allowed to exploit and despoil our land and natural resources and spew toxic chemicals into our air, water and food. It is also why health care has become managed illness which cures virtually nothing and merely manages symptoms with highly profitable side-effect laden and often deadly lab created synthetics and unnatural isolates.
Actually the changes wrought by Lincoln and the 14th amendment merely helped cement the abdication of our medical rights to the drug and medical establishment. Any solution to the health care crisis must come from the people, not the government, especially not from a government that has been hell-bent on protecting the moneyed interests and continued protection of the medical monopoly it`s spent 200 years helping to create.
In actuality, our health freedoms are clearly protected by the Declaration of Independence and secured by the Constitution. Even beyond that, they are protected by English Common Law which has never been overturned and which stand as the foundation of our entire system of laws, as I pointed out in my article "Naturopathic Rights Were Included in the Founding of America" (http://www.naturalnews.com/022783.html)
Which pointed out that when the American Colonies declared their independence as Sovereign States, in July, 1776, they each adopted the Laws of England as the Common Law of the State. With the exception of Louisiana, which was a French colony and adopted Napoleanic Law as it`s common law, every state in the United States has followed suit.
And thus it was that a charter which addressed the evils of restrictions on herbs, herbalist and those who were allowed to practice medicine and healing was made in 1543 during the reign of Henry the VIII and was used by the original 13 States of America to determine the rights of Naturopathy and our freedom of access to natural alternative medicine and treatments. This Act has never been repealed, and thus remains part of our Common Law to this day, offering protection to alternative practitioners, "at all Time from henceforth..." as a perpetual Charter of Rights.
This charter is known as the "Herbalist`s Charter of Henry the VIII, 1543 A.D. - An Act that Persons, Being No Common Surgeons, May Administer Outward Medicines"
And it contains this critical passage:
"Be it ordained, established and enacted, by Authority of this present Parliament, That at all Time from henceforth it shall be lawful to every Person being the King`s subject, having Knowledge and Experience of the Nature of Herbs, Roots and Waters, or of the Operation of the same, by Speculation or Practice, within any part of the Realm of England, or within any other the King`s Dominions, to practice, use and minister in and to any outward Sore, Uncome Wound, Aposelmations, outward Swelling or Disease, any Herb or Herbs, Ointments, Baths, Poultice, and Emplaisters, according to their Cunning, Experience and Knowledge in any of the Diseases, Sorea and Maladies beforesaid, and all other like to the same, or Drinks for the Stone, Strangury or Agues, without suit, vexation, trouble, penalty or loss of their goods;"
The reality is that we actually have complete health freedom rooted in English Common Law as well as the Declaration of Independence and secured by the Constitution of the organic United States of America. Those rights, like many other rights that have been abridged by clearly unconstitutional laws and codes, are abridged only if we agree to let them be.
The way I see it, it is awfully difficult to fix a problem such as health freedom by trying to operate in a system that works to deny us freedoms. Unless we change the overall system, any victories are mere band-aids. Just like some of us may find a limited and temporary fix to escape the madness and the wrongness by retreating to the hills, the real solution -- if there is to be one -- will come only from changing the system to work for All people.
Our forefathers knew what to do when a government became unresponsive to the needs and rights of its citizens and endeavored only to serve an elite few. I think we have two choices, just as so eloquently stated by our founders: Either change the existing system to re-capture our lost freedoms and return to our founding principles or else tear it all down with a new system. Obviously the first option would be preferable, if it is possible. I say "if", because it is a monumental task we face. We will have to wake up a great many people and marshal a great many people who would rather remain blissfully ignorant even as their standards of living and freedoms are drained away.
If we want to make a difference, we must get involved on the local level and elect officials on the local level who are beholden to no special interests and who vow to return us to the vision of the founders, where the individual is supreme, the state is next and the federal government is weakest of all, serving only to protect our lives and property. Officials who will restore our freedoms and liberties will champion our free access to truthful information about diet, nutrition, health and lifestyle and our unrestricted access to supplements and alternative treatments because we have the God given unalienable right to address our own private health issues however we please and no one has the right to tell us what we may or may not choose to ingest or subject our sovereign bodies to.
And, if working within the system fails to work, it is incumbent upon us to replace it with another system. We have been conditioned by those who have usurped our freedoms to believe that such thoughts are somehow treasonous. As our forefathers clearly understood, such thoughts are the height of patriotism. It is Not having such thoughts about freedom that is the supreme treason against our founding and our freedom, as I pointed out in an article titled "Health Freedom - Whenever a Government Becomes Destructive, Health Freedoms Diminish" (http://www.naturalnews.com/023054.html) .
Which noted this key statement in The Declaration of Independence:
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government..."
and concluded with these words:
"It is time for us to return to our founding principles and, as patriotic Americans in the spirit of our founders, start taking back control of our lives and our rights. The issue of the freedom of our bodies and our health is a great place to start.
It should be no different for the people in Europe, whose citizens have also fought hard for freedoms that are being eroded -- the issues are the same, as are the profiteers and those behind the loss of freedoms.
If we fail to act, we will find that we have condemned ourselves and our future generations to less freedoms in a greatly diminished and unhealthy world."
