People are irrationally afraid of mad cow disease but not of eating animal fat

by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, NaturalNews Editor

There's a tremendous amount of education coming out as a result of the
outbreak of mad cow disease on U.S. soil: fewer people are eating cow
fat and cow flesh, which will naturally make them healthier human
beings. As this article shows, the fear over mad cow is striking an
ever-expanding collection of foods that use cow by-products, such as
french fries that are fried in beef fat. Of course, people shouldn't be
eating this junk food in the first place: high-starch french fries that
are fried in disease-causing saturated animal fat (which contain
unhealthy trans fats) hardly represent a healthy dietary choice. It's
amazing to me that people will avoid eating french fries when there's a
one in ten million chance of dying from mad cow disease, but they'll
gladly eat french friends when there's a near certainty that they'll die
from the obesity or heart disease casued by junk foods. Most people have
no clue about the true dangers of the foods they eat. Cow flesh is
dangerous on its own, even without mad cow disease.
