U.S. government buys drugs from Canada, but won't let consumers do the same

by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, NaturalNews Editor

As this article shows, the FDA's argument that "importing drugs from Canada is dangerous" is bogus. Because it turns out the Department of Veteran Affairs is doing the exact same thing in order to save money.

It's okay for the federal government to save money by buying pharmaceuticals from Canada, but it's not okay for the U.S. public to do the same thing, apparently. There are profits to protect, after all. And while the government can look the other way for one of its own, it's not about to let the entire U.S. public buy drugs at lower prices. Profits must be extracted from somebody!

And the FDA is here to make sure Americans can't get their drugs from anywhere other than homebred, home-controlled U.S. pharmacies. Control the distribution channels closely enough, and you can charge anything you want. Especially when the people who need drugs the most (the elderly) can cajole Washington into forcing the younger generation to pay for all their drugs by passing new tax-and-spend benefits.

It's a con on top of a con.
