(NaturalNews) It has become obvious to anyone who is honest that much of the
so-called "mainstream" news media has become little more than a platform to push certain political ideologies.
That's both
left and right. But the difference is, some of the Left-leaning mainstream media outlets still ridiculously try to claim that they are
not biased towards certain political positions, when analysis after analysis proves otherwise.
CNN is one of the biggest serial offenders of media bias. The network employs a number of hosts and so-called correspondents who flat-out do not tell their audiences the truth about very important issues of the day. Instead, the network pretty much shills for the Democratic Party, and that's a shame, really, because the founding fathers believed a free press was an important check against the power of government, regardless of which party was in power.
Case in point: In recent days GOP presidential nominee
Donald J. Trump was discussing the negative impact his rival,
Hillary Clinton, would have on the Second Amendment were she to win the White House and get to nominate as many as three Supreme Court justices. The right to keep and bear arms, he said, would likely go away, unless "the Second Amendment people" prevented it from happening.
Reporting an event that wasn't real and never happened – that's CNN
Rational people understood that Trump was saying the gun lobby is powerful and might be able to stave off an assault on the Second Amendment. On the other hand, hysterical mainstream media members, who are obviously in the tank for Clinton, tried to paint Trump's words as a direct threat against his Democratic presidential rival – one so obvious that he could expect a visit from the Secret Service, CNN insisted.
In fact, the news network reported that Trump
had indeed been visited by the Secret Service, as
reported here.
Only, it wasn't true. In fact, within hours the story was revised to make it seem as though someone from the Secret Service
may have spoken to "someone" at "some level" in the Trump campaign,
Breitbart reported.
In short order,
Reuters – certainly no shill for Trump – poured cold water on that claim, reporting that "a federal official ... said the U.S. Secret Service had not formally spoken" with the Trump
campaign, a report that Trump happily tweeted about after it was published.
"Reuters just announced that Secret Service never spoke to me or my campaign. Made up story by @CNN is a hoax. Totally dishonest," he tweeted.
The
Reuters headline,
published shortly after the CNN story, made it clear that no one had spoken to the Trump people.
Almost immediately after Trump made his remarks during a campaign stop, the media pounced on them, led by CNN which portrayed his comments
as a direct threat against Clinton, which they plainly were not.
In fact, like much of what is said about Trump by the media, this was a manufactured "controversy." But it is part of the Democrats' overall strategy to paint Trump as unstable and too unpredictable to be trusted with the presidency, despite his proven ability to build a multi-billion dollar business empire, and despite
his rival's highly questionable judgment regarding the enrichment of her family's foundation when she was secretary of state.
Lack of honesty about health issues too
These are Trump's exact words, with the "controversial" passage highlighted:
Hillary wants to abolish — essentially abolish the Second Amendment. By the way, if she gets to pick, if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don't know. But I tell you what, that will be a horrible day, if Hillary gets to put her judges in, right now we're tied. Some "threat."
This is the same network, by the way, that demands we trust what it says regarding other important health issues like GMOs and vaccines. In fact, as reported by
Natural News founder and editor Mike Adams, the Health Ranger and author of
"Food Forensics," CNN tried to trip Trump up after he expressed caution about the number of vaccines children receive, and their ties to autism. But, as Adams noted,
the facts are on Trump's side, as a former CDC scientist has admitted.
Also, as we
have reported, the network is less than honest when it comes to reporting about other health-related issues like Obamacare.
So the network that expects us to take it seriously has a long history of unreliable reporting. What is there to trust about that?
