Nestle has issued a recall for DiGiorno, Lean Cuisine and Stouffer's products

(NaturalNews) If you chowed down on a frozen pizza or TV dinner recently and noticed a little more "crunch" than you were expecting, you may have unwittingly ingested tiny glass shards that somehow made it into product packaging during processing.

Global food giant Nestle has issued a massive recall on several of its most popular frozen food products, after the issue came to the company's attention. Included in the 3 million product recall are four different types of DiGiorno frozen pizzas, five varieties of Lean Cuisine dinners and five types of Stouffer's frozen dinners.

Nestle is claiming that its voluntary recall is "limited." But millions of product units are part of the recall, according to the company, including the following products with specific production codes, UPCs and "Best Before" Dates:

Processed foods that may contain glass are 'safe,' but local foods and raw milk are 'dangerous'

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has been cooperative throughout the process in alerting the public as to the possible dangers of consuming these Nestle foods. But the agency hasn't raided Nestle's headquarters, stolen computers or issued an injunction, as it routinely does with small producers suspected of possibly selling tainted products.

In fact, the FDA has been remarkably silent about the inherent dangers of mass food production, all the while continuing to push false narratives like "raw milk is dangerous," even though raw milk has never been found to contain small shards of glass. Chalk it up to more hypocrisy from our nation's broken regulatory system, which favors industrial food producers, while making mountains out of molehills when it comes to small-scale food production.

If you choose to consume frozen food products manufactured by the likes of Nestle, be warned: it's a guessing game when it comes the safety of such products, as illustrated by this latest recall. Sure, this type of thing could happen to any company, big or small. But the way regulatory authorities handle recalls is very different for the big boys than it is for the mom-and-pop operations.
