(NaturalNews) Lawmakers in North Carolina who introduced a bill similar to California's SB 277 have decided to scrap it in response to widespread public opposition, new reports indicate. Senate Bill 346, which would have eliminated North Carolina's religious exemption for mandatory vaccinations, has been officially pronounced "dead" amidst a national debate over vaccines.
The bill was first introduced back in March as the nation was being propagandized with Disneyland measles hysteria. Since that time, SB 277 in California has been signed into law despite vehement opposition from parents, while SB 346 in North Carolina has been dropped from the legislative session, according to Senate President Pro Tem Phil Berger.
"After hearing serious concerns about stricter vaccine and immunization requirements from our constituents and from citizens across the state, we have decided we will not move forward with Senate Bill 346," Berger stated to WRAL.com. "The vaccine bill is dead."
SB 346 would have applied to homeschoolers, and would have mandated flu shots
This is very good news for the state's many religious residents who oppose injecting their children with substances that could render them permanently disabled or even kill them. Some 1,204 North Carolina students utilized religious exemptions to avoid vaccines during the 2013-14 school year, according to the
News & Observer, while another 179 others received medical exemptions.
The defeat of SB 346 represents a major victory for health freedom that many had hoped would also be the case in California with SB 277. Though North Carolinians never even had the option to skip vaccines for personal and/or philosophical reasons like Californians did prior to SB 277, the religious exemption provides another route of refusal.
If passed, SB 346 would gone a step further than SB 277 by requiring that all children attending K-12 school, including private
and home school, be vaccinated in accordance with the state's required
vaccine schedule. SB 346 also would have mandated flu shots, as well as vaccines for pneumococcal, meningitis, rotavirus, Hepatitis A, and
any future vaccinations added to the official list.
SB 346 would have mandated vaccines for adults, too
Such mandates go far beyond anything currently required in either West Virginia or Mississippi, the only other states besides California that don't recognize personal, philosophical, or religious vaccine exemptions. In other words, SB 346 would have transformed North Carolina into the nation's most oppressive vaccine dictatorship.
Fortunately, SB 346 hit the chopping block rather quickly due to the fact that it was "unsupportable," to quote
The Wake Weekly. Eradicating informed consent and subjecting children to all vaccines mandated by the government both now
and in the future simply doesn't mesh with medical freedom or the values of North Carolinians.
Adults also would have faced forced vaccinations under SB 346, making the bill even more heinous. All North Carolinians, both young and old, would have been required under threat of punishment to take
mandatory injections against their will, the epitome of a medical dictatorship and everything that our Founding Fathers fought to escape.
"Let's focus on boosting the immune system, rather than tearing it down by injecting toxins and removing religious rights," wrote one
News & Observer commenter. "Each person has a personal relationship with their Creator, a personal understanding and wisdom of living needs."
