(NaturalNews) I just couldn't shake the creepiness of the
new Happy Meal mascot introduced a couple of weeks ago: the image stuck in my head for days. But then I remembered that McDonald's has
always used bizarre, almost nightmarish characters for possibly that precise reason -- they linger in your mind whether you've invited them there or not.
As I pondered some of the more strange and horrifying characters used by McDonald's -- Grimace, the Hamburglar, etc. -- it suddenly dawned on me just how closely some of these characters resemble serial killers and mass murderers.
I'm sure this is entirely coincidental but it's spooky nonetheless. Check out the striking similarities between three well-known McDonald's mascot characters and three infamous killers that still haunt America's memory...
James Holmes and Ronald McDonald
James Holmes is the alleged mass murder who officials say shot up movie theaters in Colorado, killing and wounding dozens of people.
His red hair, pale skin, hiked-up eyebrows and overall blank, soulless expression are nearly a perfect match for Ronald McDonald, the clown that was invented for the sole purpose of influencing children to demand more processed, factory-made food from their parents.
Put Holmes in a clown costume and even little kids would probably point at him and scream, "It's Ronald McDonald!"
Jared Lee Loughner and Grimace
Jared Lee Loughner is the alleged shooter of Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle "Gabby" Giffords. This level of deep, soulless evil seems a perfect match for the McDonald's character known as "Grimace" who was first introduced as "Evil Grimace" in 1971.
In his first rendition, Evil Grimace had two pairs of arms that he used to engage in the evil crime of stealing milkshakes.

Grimace's character was softened over the years, transforming him into a friendly sidekick. I very much doubt Jared Lee Loughner will ever be a friendly sidekick, however.
John Wayne Gacy and Mayor McCheese
John Wayne Gacy was convicted of the sexual assault and murder or 33 young boys. He was known as the "Killer Clown," as he also enjoyed parading around as an entertainment clown (allowing him easy access to young boys). (See photo below).
Gacy was executed by lethal injection in 1994.
Mayor McCheese was introduced by McDonald's as a bumbling, incompetent bureaucrat / aristocrat with an enormous cheeseburger as his head.
Technically, McDonald's is knowingly engaged in the mass killing of conscious beings
Even writing this article made me feel a little sick. It may seem like tabloid news at first, but there's a legitimate connection here: McDonald's demands the mass slaughter of millions of cows and chickens each year as part of its core business model. It's not just the slaughter that bothers me; it's the way in which these animals tend to be raised in cruel, cramped environments.
Maybe that's why the undercurrent of murder seems ever-present in McDonald's characters: Try as they might, they can't wash the murderous intent out of their corporate culture. Regardless of the branding and advertising efforts, McDonald's is and always will be a restaurant that serves up enormous quantities of dead animal flesh... and therefore must kill all those animals first.
In truth, McDonald's is very much
a mass animal murder factory that seems to have no compassion for all for the lives of those animals. Cows, chickens and pigs, by the way, are
conscious beings who all have memories, decision-making skills, social structure and complex experiences. To raise them in cruel conditions in order to maximize corporate profits is inexcusably inhumane. Why doesn't McDonald's follow the path of Chipotle and at least attempt to make life a little more bearable for these animals before slaughtering them?
McDonald's and GMOs
McDonald's is also steeped in GMOs -- a deadly technology that
threatens the very sustainability of global agriculture. By serving foods made with genetically engineered ingredients, McDonald's is financially supporting Monsanto and the entire biotech industry -- an industry widely considered to be the "most evil" industry in the world, even more so than industries of war.
Maybe this is the real reason we're all grimacing: we see right through the fake propaganda of the McDonald's corporation and into the reality of what the company stands for: the murder and death of animals and the feeding of GMO poisons to the public (yes, every grain of genetically modified corn contains an insecticide poison).
This stands in great contrast to food chains like Chipotle, which coincidentally was catapulted into success by McDonald's. Chipotle seems to be working hard to fight against cruel animal conditions while working to one day eliminate all GMOs from its food supply.
While Chipotle actually seems to be
trying to do the right thing with its food ingredients, McDonald's would rather just distract you with stupid characters that paint a false picture of happiness for a corporation steeped in mass death and creepy child influence tactics.
