(NaturalNews) A "morbidly obese" two-year-old has undergone bariatric surgery in Saudi Arabia,
doctors are now proudly reporting. This radical, permanent maiming of the digestive system of a child was done, they say, after "dieting failed."
The press is reporting that the doctors in charge of this fiasco "...were unable to ascertain whether the child's parents stuck to the diet." This was apparently all the justification they needed to permanently remove a crucial part of the child's digestive system.
So where do we begin with the insanity in all this?
First off, I'm pretty sure that two-year-old infants cannot hop in the car and cruise down to the local McDonald's to buy a half-dozen Happy Meals.
I don't think there's any two-year-old who can whip out a credit card at the local buffet and snarf down five thousand calories a day.
So allow me to state the obvious:
Two-year-olds eat what you give them to eat, period! If a two-year-old is "morbidly obese," then his parents are infinitely stupid. Were they spoon-feeding the kid ice cream all day long while asking, "Why is our child getting so fat?"
Are they really that stupid? And are the doctors so stupid that they can't simply tell the parents to
stop feeding the little guy so much food?Two-year-olds eat what you give them to eat
This isn't rocket science here. Two-year-olds eat what you put in front of them to eat. They have no means to bypass their parents and gather food on their own. And let's also state the obvious that the doctors and the parents are too stupid to seemingly understand:
children don't get fat through magic. It actually requires calories.OMG! I uttered some wild, fringe theory! It actually takes
calories to make a child gain weight! The medical establishment is going to call me a "health hoaxer" for daring to suggest that obesity actually requires a cause.
Apparently, this simple idea somehow escapes western doctors. They must have tried to confuse the parents with pseudoscience gobbledygook, saying things like, "It wasn't the calories, it was your child's GENES that made him fat!" ... as if the
child had mutant powers to create calories from air or something.
So lay me lay it out straight for everybody: You show me a morbidly obese two-year-old, and I'll show you a couple of moron parents. Actually, "moron" isn't even the right word. What these parents did is a
form of child abuse.
Dad: "Honey! Little Mohammed wants more pizza. Should we give it to him?"
Mom: "Yes, of course! But make sure he finishes before his appointment with the bariatric surgeon!"
Dad: "Why are we so unlucky to have a child with an obesity problem?"
Mom: "I don't know, but the surgeon says he can solve it."
(... drives to the
bariatric surgery clinic... )
Surgeon: "This is a mystery. We still cannot figure out why your child is so morbidly obese."
Mom: "I know, and we keep feeding him and feeding him all day long and he still won't lose weight."
Surgeon: "Hmmm... must be genetics, then."
Dad: "It's gotta be genetics. My dad was obese, too."
Surgeon: "Ah, yes. See, it runs in the family. So
surgery is your only option."
Mom: "But doctor, if we pay for the surgery, we won't have any money left to keep paying for the food he wants to eat all day long."
Surgeon: "Don't worry, you can apply for government food stamps. No child goes hungry in this country!"
Surgery is a "success"
According to the press, the bariatric surgery was a huge success:
Within two months the boy lost 15 per cent of his body weight and two years after the 2010 surgery his weight had fallen from 72 lbs to 52 lbs and his BMI of 24 was within the normal range.Of course, you have to ask the question:
How did the bariatric surgery cause the boy to lose weight? By
restricting his food intake -- a function that should have been carried out by his parents in the first place.
How do you restrict the food intake of two-year-olds?
Stop feeding them so much! Put down the pizza. Throw out the donuts. Stop fixing the kid a half-dozen sausages for breakfast. Exercise
basic parenting skills by setting boundaries (limits) for your child.
Is this really too much to ask for today's parents? Any family with a two-year-old needing bariatric surgery probably also has a parent or two needing brain transplants.
You are witnessing a world of truly insane people
A world in which a two-year-old has his digestive organs cut up by surgeons claiming to practice "medicine" is a world of insanity. Soon, we're all probably going to be told that "stomachs are bad" and that people born with stomachs must have them immediately cut out after they're born. It will be like circumcision for your digestive system.
This is the entire model of western medicine: You are born a failed, broken biological system, they say, and you need immediate intervention to be healthy. Modern medicine tells you that you're born with a faulty immune system and you therefore need vaccine injections. They tell you you're born with a faulty reproductive system and therefore need synthetic hormone fertility drugs. They say you're born with faulty cardiovascular organs and therefore need blood pressure drugs and statin drugs.
This is a key idea of western medicine: You are born in "
medical sin" and require immediate medical intervention to be "normal." And this bariatric surgery on a two-year-old is the perfect example of just how totally insane the system has become. That fact that a group of doctors couldn't figure out this child was being made fat by
food consumption is an outright admission that western medicine is an absolute failure on the issue of obesity.
These doctors should
have their medical licenses permanently revoked for actually encouraging parents to put their two-year-old through surgery rather than demanding they simply, "Feed him less!" The entire weight problem of this little boy could have been solved with a simple 5-minute conversation about daily calories.
But instead, this two-year-old who has already been the victim of
junk food child abuse by his parents is also subjected to medical child abuse by surgeons. It's a double-decker catastrophe that could have been easily and safely avoided by doing nothing more than
limiting the child's food intake.
That's western medicine for ya: Surgeons bragging about how they "heroically" saved this child's life when the truth is that they put his life at risk and permanently maimed him for life over a problem that could have been solved with nothing more than
good parenting.
