Christmas

(NaturalNews) You may have noticed we're on an abbreviated publishing schedule right now, and that's because we've given our staff the holidays off. But I'm still working, and I wanted to wish all NaturalNews readers a Merry Christmas or whatever appropriate holiday you may be celebrating.

May your holiday be blessed and your visit from Santa Claus (or any other mythological characters of your choice) be fruitful!

As I'm always preparedness minded, I also wanted to remind you to keep a close eye on your tree if you're using a real tree, because they tend to dry out and become amazingly effective tinder boxes that can explode in a ball of flame following an errant spark or short circuit of your decorative lights. I'm sure your local fire department will support this warning: If you're using a real tree, don't hang electrical wires on it!

Also, if you're leaving milk and cookies out on the table for Santa Claus, please don't use raw milk, or the creature coming down your chimney might be an FDA spy engaged in making his own "naughty or nice" lists.

If you were hoping to get your hands on the new Air Jordan sneakers, it seems that a couple thousand drooling zombie heads already beat you to it. Seasons beatings! blares the Drudge Report on this story. Watch this amazing ABC News video showing a crowd of clueless, mindless, pathetic human beings literally stomping all over each other to be the first to buy overpriced celebrity-branded tennis shoes because they think it will make them popular:

By the way, try not to overrun the city landfill with your Christmas wrapping paper garbage, even if that means being the resident greenie who insists, "We can save that paper for next year!" (Nothing takes the fun out of unwrapping Christmas gifts quite as effectively, does it?)

Better yet, have an anti-consumerism Christmas and don't hand out any presents at all. Your children will remember that moment of realization forever... Just tell them, "But mommy and daddy don't want to participate in the wage slave debt-entrapment culture of mindless consumerism!" I'm sure your four-year-old will understand perfectly. Don't they always?

Coming up right after the holiday break

Starting Tuesday, we've got stories coming up that highlight the top developments of 2011. With your help, NaturalNews achieved an impressive number of significant victories this year, and we want to review those with you as part of our year-end celebration.

I've also completed a piece on the 2012 Mayan calendar which is now suddenly on everybody's mind since 2012 is right around the corner.

Our year-end NaturalNews Store sale is going on right now, through December 31st, where you can save a whopping 17.5% off almost everything in our store (but excluding exercise equipment and appliances). Use discount code HOLIDAY18 at the checkout: http://store.naturalnews.com

Also, the membership loophole at the Green PolkaDot Box online buyer's club is ending on December 31st, and it's a ridiculously generous situation that you won't want to miss out on. Basically, when you buy their top-level membership, they turn around and give you the full fee of your membership -- plus $500! -- in credit to spend on all the organic, non-GMO and natural products they carry (and their selection inventory is expanding in a huge way in January). Even better, all these products are deeply discounted, sometimes as much as 60% off. Get more details in my article: https://www.naturalnews.com/034464_Green_Polk...

(This membership loophole will be permanently removed on December 31st.)

Finally, we're also launching videos next week from our new NaturalNews video studio, which is now fully functioning. In January, we'll be shooting live interviews with numerous special guests, including Ed Group (from GHC), Jonathan Landsman, KC Craichy from Living Fuel (via Skype), and even a former FBI agent who will be joining us to talk about the failures of the war on drugs.

It's going to be a hugely exciting month of videos, and we'll be posting them at NaturalNews.TV as well as our YouTube channel.

So stay tuned to NaturalNews and get ready for an exciting 2012!

About the author:Mike Adams (aka the "Health Ranger") is a best selling author (#1 best selling science book on Amazon.com) and a globally recognized scientific researcher in clean foods. He serves as the founding editor of NaturalNews.com and the lab science director of an internationally accredited (ISO 17025) analytical laboratory known as CWC Labs. There, he was awarded a Certificate of Excellence for achieving extremely high accuracy in the analysis of toxic elements in unknown water samples using ICP-MS instrumentation. Adams is also highly proficient in running liquid chromatography, ion chromatography and mass spectrometry time-of-flight analytical instrumentation.

Adams is a person of color whose ancestors include Africans and Native American Indians. He's also of Native American heritage, which he credits as inspiring his "Health Ranger" passion for protecting life and nature against the destruction caused by chemicals, heavy metals and other forms of pollution.

Adams is the founder and publisher of the open source science journal Natural Science Journal, the author of numerous peer-reviewed science papers published by the journal, and the author of the world's first book that published ICP-MS heavy metals analysis results for foods, dietary supplements, pet food, spices and fast food. The book is entitled Food Forensics and is published by BenBella Books.

In his laboratory research, Adams has made numerous food safety breakthroughs such as revealing rice protein products imported from Asia to be contaminated with toxic heavy metals like lead, cadmium and tungsten. Adams was the first food science researcher to document high levels of tungsten in superfoods. He also discovered over 11 ppm lead in imported mangosteen powder, and led an industry-wide voluntary agreement to limit heavy metals in rice protein products.

In addition to his lab work, Adams is also the (non-paid) executive director of the non-profit Consumer Wellness Center (CWC), an organization that redirects 100% of its donations receipts to grant programs that teach children and women how to grow their own food or vastly improve their nutrition. Through the non-profit CWC, Adams also launched Nutrition Rescue, a program that donates essential vitamins to people in need. Click here to see some of the CWC success stories.

With a background in science and software technology, Adams is the original founder of the email newsletter technology company known as Arial Software. Using his technical experience combined with his love for natural health, Adams developed and deployed the content management system currently driving NaturalNews.com. He also engineered the high-level statistical algorithms that power SCIENCE.naturalnews.com, a massive research resource featuring over 10 million scientific studies.

Adams is well known for his incredibly popular consumer activism video blowing the lid on fake blueberries used throughout the food supply. He has also exposed "strange fibers" found in Chicken McNuggets, fake academic credentials of so-called health "gurus," dangerous "detox" products imported as battery acid and sold for oral consumption, fake acai berry scams, the California raw milk raids, the vaccine research fraud revealed by industry whistleblowers and many other topics.

Adams has also helped defend the rights of home gardeners and protect the medical freedom rights of parents. Adams is widely recognized to have made a remarkable global impact on issues like GMOs, vaccines, nutrition therapies, human consciousness.

In addition to his activism, Adams is an accomplished musician who has released over a dozen popular songs covering a variety of activism topics.
