(NaturalNews) The winners of the NaturalNews.TV healthy recipes video contest have been announced! This contest sought to highlight the best healthy food and smoothie recipes from around the world, and it attracted tens of thousands of views spanning over 35 different healthy recipe videos. Thousands of users voted on the videos, which also received thousands of Facebook shares.

The contest was sponsored by Boku Super Food (www.BokuSuperfood.com) and Global Healing Center (www.GlobalHealingCenter.com), both of which are giving away hundreds of dollars in super healthy product prizes to the winners.

In addition, NaturalNews.TV will be sending checks to the winners in the amounts of $500 for the first place winner, $250 for second place and $250 for the third place winner, for a total of $1,000 in cash prizes awarded.

The winners of the contest are:

First place - Healthy Homemade Mayonnaise by Sarah the Healthy Home Economist

With nearly 7,000 views and over 1,000 votes, this homemade mayonnaise recipe takes the top prize! Sarah offers a simple, low-cost recipe for making your own mayonnaise using truly healthful ingredients. Awesome job, Sarah!

Third place - Ultimate Power Packed Fruit Super Smoothie by Infowarrs

With almost 1,300 views and over 750 votes, this fruit super smoothie recipe shows viewers how to make another fantastic superfood smoothie recipe. This video was submitted by a user named "Infowarrs" who wears a www.Infowars.com t-shirt in the video. It's not clear whether this person is affiliated with the official Infowars website or is just a fan. (We'll try to find out when we talk with him during the prize awarding...)

Winners will be contacted this week

We will be contacting these winners to get their mailing addresses so we can send out the checks and prizes. Hopefully we'll also get a few comments or quotes from the winners who want to talk about their experiences in creating and sharing their prize-winning videos!

What's really cool about this contest is that none of the winners created "pro" quality videos. These were all basically just "amateur" videos filmed in their own kitchens, using ambient lighting and fairly low-end video cameras -- and yet they won the top prizes! The Infowars guy didn't even use a full frame rate camera. (His video clocks in at something like 15 frames per second, or about half the usual frame rate.)

And yet, despite the lack of pro equipment, these people put together fantastic video content! It just goes to show you that what you SAY and DO on camera is far more important than having any sort of professional equipment.

And that means anybody can create a winning video, even with a low-cost Flip video camera!

You can still check out some of the other recipe content videos right here: http://naturalnews.tv/contest.asp

Keep watching NaturalNews.TV for more videos

Another thing this contest demonstrated well is that NaturalNews.TV is a great destination for watching really healthy recipe videos. If you want to learn how to make healthy smoothies, meals or desserts, just use the search function on www.NaturalNews.TV to find what you want. New videos are being added each day, and the site now has over 10,000 members!

NaturalNews.TV is serving up hundreds of thousands of video views a month now, quickly approaching the one million mark. Word is spreading fast, and users are really enjoying the video content on the site, which ranges from recipes and exercise videos to interviews, commentary, documentaries and more.

I wish to thank all the NaturalNews.TV members who posted recipe videos as part of the contest. There were all sorts of amazing videos posted for the contest, and even those videos that didn't win the prizes will still benefit from the ongoing publicity and viewership of NaturalNews.TV.

I also want to thank Boku Super Food and Global Healing Center for sponsoring some of the prizes for this contest. These are both really great companies with excellent products that I personally use and recommend (otherwise I wouldn't have invited them to sponsor the contest). Boku Super Food has one of the top superfood powders in the industry (www.BokuSuperfood.com) and Global Healing Center has some of the very best cleansing and detox products you've ever tried (www.GlobalHealingCenter.com).

We plan to host more video contests in the near future, so get your best videos ready and prepare to win even more cash and product prizes as we continue to highlight the very best natural health videos on the web today!

We'll be announcing the next contest soon. I'm not sure yet what topic it will be on, but I'm considering doing something focusing on the holidays.
