A growing number of people are purchasing prescription drugs that have
been reimported from Canada. This practice bypasses the drug company
monopoly that now has a strangehold on customers in the United States,
allowing customers to have access to the very same prescription drugs at
a fraction of the cost. The practice drives the pharmaceutical industry
absolutely crazy, of course, which is why they've fought bitterly
against it. The FDA, always watching out for the pharmaceutical
industry, has engaged in all sorts of Nazi-like tactics to shut down
drugs from Canada and scare people into avoiding them.
What kind of
Nazi tactics am I talking about? How about detaining and searching an
entire bus load of elderly who visited Canada and then returned to the
United States? The FDA has also pressured credit card merchant services
to spy on (and report) activities from online companies that sell
prescription drugs from Canada. Further, they've engaged in a massive
scare campaign to try to convince Americans that drugs from Canada are
somehow far more dangerous than prescription drugs purchased in the
United States (in reality, they're ALL dangerous, but that's another
story). Without question, the mob boss FDA has done a great job
protecting the criminal drug ring operated by the U.S. pharmaceutical
industry, at great cost to consumers, of course. It's all part of the
FDA's mission to protect drug companies, regardless of the consequences
to public health.
