The good news on green tea just keeps on coming: new research shows that compounds found in green tea not only prevent cancer and heart disease, they also provide a defense against HIV.
I consume green tea every day, along with other superfoods like chlorella and spirulina. These are the foods of the healthy and long-lived.
Eat these superfoods and exercise regular, and you won't ever have to worry about cancer, diabetes, heart disease, or any of the modern diseases. It's simple cause and effect: avoid the foods that cause disease (and stay fit), and you won't experience disease.
The unhealthy and short-lived, on the other hand, eat common groceries, fast foods and plenty of refined ingredients like sugar, hydrogenated oils and animal lard. They use coupons to buy packaged, brand-name foods with pretty pictures and virtually no nutritional value. They buy soft drinks, Doritos, Pop-Tarts and other junk foods. And they ultimately pay the price with their health.
But back to green tea, if you really want to consume this health-enhancing substance in any significant quantity, you'll need to take green tea supplements or blend the powder into your favorite drink each day.
Drinking it as tea isn't enough. You want pure green tea powder. I eat around 5 grams a day.
